The signs are pretty stupid and the crudeness is sufficient turnoff that it makes sense to simply ignore them. The sign maker has a right to express his views, but it reveals him/her to be rather ignorant and prone to ridiculous excess to prove a teapot point.
Those signs don’t speak for all of us. The don’t even speak to a majority of us as evidenced by the defeat of Mitt Romney. I agree that the signs are crude and ignorant of the facts. For example, President Obama isn’t a Communist. However, I’m glad that I live in a country where even misinformed people have the right to express their opinions. I would hope that not many people would identify with the deranged person that described Michelle Obama as “the big one from the Planet of the Apes” and her kids as “ho’s.” That comment is truly disgusting and racist and it denigrates our great country.
