Colo Murders
8 MILLION SANE GUN OWNERS DID NOT KILL ANYONE TODAY! BLOOMBERG NEWS IS CALLING FOR OBAMA TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT GUN CONTROL. WATCH FOR MORE ANTI GUN FREAKS SOUNDING OFF. And those tring to connect the killer to The Tea Party… Nice going ABC!
Most armed robberies happened with the robber using auto to get away. More people were killed in car accidents than any other means. Drunk drivers cause accidents that kill a lot of people. Better ban all cars. They probably used their cell phones to coordinate the robbery, better ban all cell phones, etc. etc.

There have been comments regarding concealed carry pertaining to the perceived inability of a licensed CCW holder to ‘take out’ the aggressor in this case. That we will never know. We also don’t know how many CCW license holders were in attendance and were not allowed self protection. Those wounded would likely have desired to protect themselves if allowed. Those who were killed had no chance whatsoever. If the mere prohibition of dangerous weapons and devices was at all successful, there would be no deaths from suicide bombers, as the bombs obviously would not be permitted. That has been markedly unsuccessful to date… perhaps the local governments in those instances had forgotten to ban those bombs.
I don’t know if Colorado law holds the owner of a facility harmless from the good faith act of a CCW on his property, but in Wisconsin the owner of a facility PERMITTING CCW weapons on his premises is held harmless form those good faith acts. Conversely those banning possession of weapons or legal carry of them are subject to liability for damages or harm in those cases where the CCW has NOT BEEN ALLOWED to exercise his legal right to self-protection.
FAQ from the Wisconsin CCW website:

If a private business or property owner allows the carrying of concealed weapons and someone is injured or killed as a result of a license holder using the weapon, is the employer or property owner legally liable?
Generally no. However, there may be circumstances where such liability may exist and a discussion of such situations is beyond the scope of this brief legal summary.
The law provides:
• A person who does not prohibit an individual from carrying a concealed weapon on property that the person owns or occupies is immune from any liability arising from his or her decision.
Wis. Stat. § 175.60(21)(b).
• An employer who does not prohibit one or more employees from carrying a concealed weapon is immune from any liability arising from that decision.
Wis. Stat. §175.60(21)(c).
• A person providing a firearms training course in good faith is immune from liability from any act or omission related to the course if the course is one of the courses listed in statute.
Wis. Stat. §175.60(21)(d).
