14,000 ABANDONED WIND TURBINES LITTER THE UNITED STATES OBAMA’S LEGACY

abandoned-wind-turbines-2
The towering symbols of a fading religion, over 14,000 wind turbines, abandoned, rusting, slowly decaying. When it is time to clean up after a failed idea, no green environmentalists are to be found. Wind was free, natural, harnessing Earth’s bounty for the benefit of all mankind, sounded like a good idea. Wind turbines, like solar panels, break down. They produce less energy before they break down than the energy it took to make them. The wind does not blow all the time, or even most of the time. When it is not blowing, they require full-time backup from conventional power plants.

Without government subsidy, they are unaffordable. With governments facing financial troubles, the subsidies are unaffordable. It was a nice dream, a very expensive dream, but it didn’t work.

California had the “big three” of wind farm locations — Altamont Pass, Tehachapi, and San Gorgonio, considered the world’s best wind sites. California’s wind farms, almost 80% of the world’s wind generation capacity ceased to generate even more quickly than Kamaoa Wind Farm in Hawaii. There are five other abandoned wind farms in Hawaii. When they are abandoned, getting the turbines removed is a major problem. They are highly unsightly, and they are huge, and that’s a lot of material to get rid of.

Unfortunately the same areas that are good for siting wind farms are a natural pass for migrating birds. Altamont’s turbines have been shut down four months out of every year for migrating birds after environmentalists filed suit. According to the Golden Gate Audubon Society 75-110 Golden Eagles, 380 Burrowing Owls, 300 Red-Tailed Hawks and 333 American Kestrels are killed by the turbines every year. An Alameda County Community Development Agency study points to 10,000 annual bird deaths from Altamont wind turbines. The Audubon Society makes up numbers like the EPA, but there’s a reason why they call them bird Cuisinarts.

Palm Springs has enacted an ordinance requiring their removal from San Gorgonio Pass, but unless something else changes abandoned turbines will remain a rotting eyesores, or the taxpayers who have already paid through the nose for overpriced energy and crony-capitalist tax scams will have to foot the bill for their removal.

President Obama’s offshore wind farms will be far more expensive than those sited in California’s ideal wind locations. Salt water is far more damaging than sun and rain, and offshore turbines don’t last as long. But nice tax scams for his crony-capitalist backers will work well as long as he can blame it all on saving the planet.

HOW POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS KILLING AMERICA

a-political-correct
If you could boil Donald Trump’s message down to a single theme, it might be fair to characterize it as a war on political correctness. To liberals, this means he’s trying to use racist language to attract racist voters. To conservatives, this means he’s simply telling it like it ease – a nice change of pace from the usual, blow-dried politicians we’re used to. To those who don’t have as much skin in the game, though, it seems like a trivial crusade to base a presidential campaign around.

After all, does it really matter if we call them “illegal aliens” or “undocumented immigrants?”

Does it really matter if we call them “children of immigrants” or “anchor babies?”

Does it really matter if we call it “violent extremism” or “radical Islamic terror?”

If people are getting their feelings hurt, wouldn’t it be easy just to use whatever language they prescribe? We can still believe in all the same policies without using offensive words, right? Let’s be mature.

This attitude, though understandable, drastically underestimates the power of language.

Human beings like to think of themselves as rational, logical creatures who always use facts and statistics and education to determine what they believe about the world. The truth, though, is a little messier. The truth is that we’re highly emotional, and we’re extremely susceptible to little psychological tricks that subtly push us in one direction or the other. No American will admit that advertisements have any effect on them; the fact that the advertisement industry exists at all is fairly conclusive evidence that they’re wrong.

See, no one wants to support “illegal immigration.” That would be absurd. But plenty of people can get behind “amnesty.” Plenty of people can support “undocumented workers.” No problem. It’s the same concept, but the psychological effects are completely different.

These PC rules aren’t meant to protect people’s feelings. That’s just the cover story. The real aim is to change minds by wrapping issues in such a thick blanket of gobbledygook that no one really knows what anyone is talking about. The real aim is to push the window of conversation to the left and make it “offensive” or “racist” or “misogynist” to even espouse certain viewpoints. It’s a lot easier to win an argument when your opponent isn’t even allowed to challenge you.

Yes, when we blow the doors off political correctness, there are those who will get their feelings hurt. Buttons will be pushed. Tears may ensue.

But that’s a damn small price to pay to make sure that certain ideas remain on the table.

Employment: Barack Obama’s Greatest Myth

a-obama-employment-1024x576
Americans are well accustomed to the mass media covering for Democrats, but it is only in the last eight years that we’ve seen our nation’s journalists propagate White House lies with such utter disdain for the truth. President Barack Obama has been lying about the economy – and more specifically, unemployment – for years, and outlets like the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC, and, well, every other left-of-center news organization have trumpeted his lies to the detriment of the American people.

So desperate are these “reporters” to beat back Republican criticism that they latch on to whatever numbers and figures they can to make the president’s job record look better than it really is. They do it with impunity, knowing that the economy is too complex for the average reader to find holes in their coverage. And they know that they are otherwise in the clear, since no mainstream media outlet other than Fox News will dare challenge their biased reporting.

Occasionally, of course, they will acknowledge that things aren’t quite as rosy as Obama would have us believe. In the Chicago Tribune this week, for instance, there was a short report about underemployment:

Nearly half of U.S. workers consider themselves underemployed, according to a survey of more than 960,000 people by PayScale, an online provider of salary information.
Three-quarters of those who label themselves as such say they’re not working in a job that uses their education and training. One quarter say they are working part time but want full-time work.

Now, if we had a Republican president who was crowing about bringing America back from the worst recession since the Great Depression, how much of this story would be dedicated to poking holes in those claims? Roughly…the entire thing?

But in the Tribune’s story, Obama’s name doesn’t come up once. Instead, they skip the part of the story where we might reasonably expect to find answers. They vaguely blame the underemployment on business owners who are hesitant to offer full-time positions after surviving the recession and encourage job-seekers to look for part-time work they can use to springboard into a better career. And that’s about it.

Obama’s approval numbers are startlingly high in 2016, partly because the majority of Americans believe that he led the country to a full economic recovery. The White House proudly boasts of a 4.9% unemployment rate, the media gleefully echoes this number, and it is left to conservative media to tell the truth: That the labor force participation rate is at its lowest point since 1978. If that rate had remained steady since Obama took office, his official unemployment rate would be a staggering 8.7%. That’s the real number. That’s Obama’s legacy.

Or it would be, if anyone in the liberal media had the integrity to report it.

Obama’s Incitement Speech Results in Dallas War Zone: 11 Cops Shot – 5 Dead in Coordinated Attack – WHY IS HE DESTROYING AMERICA?

BY PAMELA GELLER
Obama’s racist campaign of division and discord exploded tonight in Dallas, Texas, just hours after he made a hate speech inciting to violence. Obama sprang into action, exploiting two unrelated incidents earlier this week involving controversial fatal shootings by cops in Louisiana and Minnesota. We don’t know what happened in Baton Rouge when Alton Sterling was shot by police (Sterling was armed). Or the disturbing video of Philando Castile in the aftermath of a police shooting in Minnesota. But we don’t know the whole story. But Obama sprang into action and ginned up the hate ….

Obama: “what’s clear is that these fatal shootings are not isolated incidents. They are symptomatic of the broader challenges within our criminal justice system, the racial disparities that appear across the system year after year, and the resulting lack of trust that exists between law enforcement and too many of the communities they serve.”
No, Mr. President, it is not clear. After the evidence was presented, the police shootings in Ferguson and Baltimore were clearly justified, and it was clear that the police officers involved had been libeled and unjustly ruined. But that was irrelevant. These terrible incidents were merely a tool by vicious agitators to advance a war against America. Targeting police is targeting society. The thin blue line is what stands between civilization and anarchy. Remove the blue line and it’s all-out war. And that is what the supremacist Black Lives Matter terror group is plotting to do — Dallas was the first massive strike.

Obama: “When incidents like this occur, there’s a big chunk of our citizenry that feels as if, because of the color of their skin, they are not being treated the same, and that hurts, and that should trouble all of us,” Mr. Obama said in a statement on Thursday after arriving in Warsaw for a NATO summit.”

Obama hosts Black Lives Matter leaders at the White House.

Tonight’s wholesale slaughter of police officers in Dallas was an ambush — a well planned, well orchestrated attack. The snipers triangulated their shots. It was an act of war. The situation is still ongoing — 5 police officers dead, 6 fighting for their lives in city hospitals.

The same police officers being protested against ran towards the gunfire trying to save lives.

Black Lives Matter marches are ugly, racist and violent. What’s planned for the next BLM march on July 9th?

Here is raw video of one of the snipers. AK-47s, body armor, kevlar, military garb =- war.

CNBC: Eleven officers were shot by two snipers, who opened fire from elevated positions in a coordinated attack after a rally in Dallas, Texas. The rally was being held to protest the deaths of two black men this week at the hands of police.

At the press conference held close to 2 a.m. ET, Dallas Police Chief David Brown said a suspect, who was holed up in a second-floor garage in the city’s downtown area, was exchanging gunfire with police and “not being very cooperative.”
“The suspect we’re negotiating with … has told our negotiators that the end is coming and he’s going to hurt and kill more of us, meaning law enforcement, and that there are bombs all over the place and downtown, so we’re being very careful with our tactics, so we don’t put our officers in harm’s way, or the citizens,” Brown said.
UPDATE: The final suspect involved in the stand-off has shot himself.

He said a woman had been taken into custody after she was observed by police carrying a camouflaged bag, which she put into a car that then sped off. The vehicle was stopped by police and they were currently questioning two occupants, Brown said.

Terror groups like ISIS and American terror-tied groups like Hamas-CAIR support and agitate for the Black Lives Matter movement. A Black Lives Matter activist has put out a new flyer on “proper riot gear” in both English and Arabic (but not Spanish, French, Russian, etc).
ISIS sign at a Black Lives Matter march in Ferguson:
Despite the widespread myth of the United States being the land of freedom, liberty, and lasting hope, it’s in fact a land of injustice, intolerance, and institutionalized racism. For the African-American community in particular, the United States has always been a land of historical injustice, and a society founded upon racial bigotry.

Black people are often disproportionately targeted by law enforcement agencies and are subjected to racial profiling and police brutality. Such institutionalized racism manifests itself in the form of mass incarceration of young black men and the racial disparities of wealth and living conditions across the United States.

With racism deeply entrenched in every part of American society, the highly celebrated notion of the American dream has become for many African-Americans just that — a dream that will never materialize. For as long as you are Black, you will always be considered sub-human…to the White man, who’s determined to maintain a system of White supremacy.
After the video repeats the Black Lives Matter messaging and tells black Americans that they are oppressed victims, the video makes an explicit pitch to black Americans: become Muslim and follow sharia law.

To the millions of oppressed Black people living in the United States, however, there is an alternative. That alternative is Islam. We invite you to a religion that guarantees you your rights, where neither the White has precedence over the Black, nor the Black over the White, except by virtue of faith.

For Islamic shari’a is not based on a racist ideology, nor does it endorse a social hierarchy based upon biological differences.
President Obama on the Fatal Shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile
July 7, 2016: Today, President Obama posted a message on Facebook on the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

Update: This evening, President Obama delivered a statement on the fatal shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota. Watch below:

Today, President Obama posted the following message on Facebook:

“All Americans should be deeply troubled by the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. We’ve seen such tragedies far too many times, and our hearts go out to the families and communities who’ve suffered such a painful loss.

“Although I am constrained in commenting on the particular facts of these cases, I am encouraged that the U.S. Department of Justice has opened a civil rights investigation in Baton Rouge, and I have full confidence in their professionalism and their ability to conduct a thoughtful, thorough, and fair inquiry.

“But regardless of the outcome of such investigations, what’s clear is that these fatal shootings are not isolated incidents. They are symptomatic of the broader challenges within our criminal justice system, the racial disparities that appear across the system year after year, and the resulting lack of trust that exists between law enforcement and too many of the communities they serve.

“In the meantime, all Americans should recognize the anger, frustration, and grief that so many Americans are feeling — feelings that are being expressed in peaceful protests and vigils. Michelle and I share those feelings. Rather than fall into a predictable pattern of division and political posturing, let’s reflect on what we can do better. Let’s come together as a nation, and keep faith with one another, in order to ensure a future where all of our children know that their lives matter.” Read the message on the President’s Facebook page.

“A boy named Harold”

This pretty much summarizes how Obama and most
liberals view the US military.

Harold was a bright child. He grew up in
America. He went to school and had a bright future ahead of
him.

Harold was full of life but was cut short in a
violent moment. While few people had ever heard of Harold
before his death,
many did afterward. And in death, something very shocking
happened. What was so shocking, especially when it is
compared to the death of someone else recently in the
news?

Harold was Harold Greene, Major General, United
States Army.

On Aug. 5, 2014, Major General Greene was
killed by a Taliban terrorist. He was returned to America
with full military
honors.

It has been a tradition that the president
attends the funeral of general and flag officers killed in
the line of duty.

Richard Nixon attended the funeral of a major
general killed in Vietnam and George W. Bush attended the
funeral of Lieutenant
General Timothy Maude, who was killed in the 9/11
attacks.

While Major General Greene was buried, Barack
Obama was golfing. The vice president wasn’t there
either. Neither was the
secretary of defense. Flags were not even lowered half
mast
Four days after Harold Greene gave his
life for America, Michael Brown was killed in
Ferguson, Missouri. Brown was at best a thug. In the
minutes before his death, he committed a robbery at a local
convenience store. According to other reports, Brown struck
Officer Darren Wilson and shattered his orbital
bone.

Obama sent a three-person delegation to
Brown’s funeral! Obama would not attend the
funeral of the highest ranking military officer killed in
the line of duty since 9/11, yet he sent a delegation to the
funeral of a thug.

When Margaret Thatcher, one of America’s
staunchest allies and Ronald Reagan’s partner
in bringing down Soviet communism,
died, Obama sent only a small low-level
delegation to her funeral.

The snub was not missed by the
British.

When Chris Kyle, the most lethal American
sniper in history was murdered, there was
no expression of sympathy from the White
House.

But when Whitney Houston died from drug
overdose, Obama ordered all flags be flown at
half mast.

There was no White House delegation at the
funeral of an American hero. American heroes
die and Obama goes to the golf course. A thug dies and he
gets a WhiteHouse delegation.

No wonder most “REAL” Americans hold
Obama in such contempt, especially members
of our Military.

And the only difference between Obama
and Hillary is that she doesn’t play golf.

BLACK SHERIFF CALLS OBAMA A “CRIMINAL FRIENDLY” PRESIDENT

“Has this guy lost his mind?” Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke asked regarding Obama.
“As my good friend Sean Hannity is fond of saying, let not your hearts be troubled for in 244 days and a little less than 10 hours, Barack Obama will exit the White House for the very last time. And finally, his reign of terror over your freedom, over your Constitution, and over your right to keep and bear arms, his reign of terror will be over,” Clarke said.

Krauthammer Scoffs At Obama’s Idealism, Addresses Containment Strategy Towards China

President Obama’s speech at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial included common themes and references to the human condition, the depravity of man, the value of scientific achievement, coupled with the realities of war.

Obama referenced his own desire to see nuclear weapons eliminated but added he might not see that reality take place in his lifetime. He ended his speech with a call to humanity to embrace the ideal that we’re all members of one world family, and called for a moral awakening in his closing remarks.

But award-winning columnist and author Charles Krauthammer accuses the president of being a naïve idealist.
Krauthammer writes it’s important to know the differences between idealists and realists. “For realists, generally conservative, history is an endless cycle of clashing power politics. The same patterns repeat. Only the names and places change,” the author contends. “The best we can do in our own time is to defend ourselves, managing instability and avoiding catastrophe. But expect nothing permanent, no essential alteration in the course of human affairs.”

Krauthammer says by contrast, idealists “believe that the international system can eventually evolve out of its Hobbesian state of nature into something more humane and hopeful,” mainly through peace treaties and diplomacy, as Obama suggested in Hiroshima.

The columnist contends, “Barack Obama is a classic case study in foreign policy idealism. Indeed, one of his favorite quotations is about the arrow of history: ‘The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.’ He has spent nearly eight years trying to advance that arc of justice. Hence his initial ‘apology tour,’ that burst of confessional soul-searching abroad about America and its sins, from slavery to the loss of our moral compass after 9/11. Friday’s trip to Hiroshima completes the arc.”
But Krauthammer charges Obama with failed policies.

“Unfortunately, with ‘justice’ did not come peace,” he writes. “The policies that followed — appeasing Vladimir Putin, the Iranian mullahs, the butchers of Tiananmen Square and lately the Castros — have advanced neither justice nor peace. On the contrary. The consequent withdrawal of American power, that agent of injustice or at least arrogant overreach, has yielded nothing but geopolitical chaos and immense human suffering. (See Syria).”

The reality is the world is not a peaceful place. It never has been. And if history repeats itself, it never will be.

Thus, while Krauthammer is strongly critical of Obama’s idealism, citing its failures to create peace in the Middle East, he gives passing credit to Obama for deferring to realism for returning the U.S. military to the Philippines, ending the arms embargo with Vietnam (thereby partnering with Vietnam to help contain China), and cites the Trans-Pacific partnership as an economic cordon around China.
The Fox News contributor, award-winning journalist and author concluded Obama’s legacy will be two-fold. “He thus leaves a double legacy. His arc-of-justice aspirations, whatever their intention, leave behind tragic geopolitical and human wreckage. Yet this belated acquiescence to realpolitik, laying the foundations for a new containment, will be an essential asset in addressing this century’s coming central challenge, the rise of China,” he said, concluding China’s power will be hard to contain, much like cold-war Russia’s was nearly impossible to contain.
