Obama admin let MS-13 gang members into US after they were captured at border, documents state

author/dave-urbanski

The Obama administration allowed over a dozen MS-13 gang members to enter the United States after they were caught crossing the border as illegal immigrant teens in 2014, the Washington Times reported, citing the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) noted Customs and Border Protection documents Wednesday, which said the 16 admitted gang members were then taken to juvenile homes throughout the country, the Times said.

“CBP apprehended them, knew they were MS-13 gang members, and they processed and disbursed them into our communities,” Johnson said, according to the paper, adding that a whistleblower turned over the documents.

More from the Times

The gang members were part of the surge of UAC, or “unaccompanied alien children,” as the government labels them, who overwhelmed the Obama administration in 2014, leaving Homeland Security struggling to staunch the flow from Central America.

Officials at the time said the children should be treated as refugees fleeing horrific conditions back home — though security analysts said the children were prime recruiting territory for gangs already in the U.S.

Mr. Johnson said the image of UAC as little children is misleading. Out of nearly 200,000 UAC apprehended between from 2012 to 2016, 68 percent were ages 15, 16 or 17 — meaning older teens. The majority were also male, making them targets for gang recruiting.

MS-13 is among the most notorious and feared gangs, whose members are known — among other things — for using machetes to behead and dismember those who defy them, the Times said. Two suspected MS-13 gang members in Texas — also illegal immigrants — were charged in March for the “satanic” killing of a teenage girl and a brutal kidnapping two others.

But Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill (Mo.), also part of the Homeland Security Committee, said while she wants to snuff out gangs, the release of the documents may have damaged  active investigations, the Times reported.

“I have concerns that these documents were released so quickly,” she said, according to the paper.

The spike in the number of unaccompanied immigrant children entering the U.S. has been suspected of opening a new avenue of recruitment for MS-13 and other gangs, the Times reported.

Scott Michael Conley, a police detective in Chelsea, Massachusetts, told the paper that MS-13 is well-established on the West Coast, where it is heavily invested in drug trafficking, and in El Salvador, where its extortion network is deep.

Conley told the Times that MS-13 is still developing on the East Coast of the U.S. while it gets its leadership in place. But after that happens, he told the paper “you’ll start to see a more sophisticated gang.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it captured more than 100 suspected MS-13 gang members during a sweep that ran from March 26 to May 6 — eight of whom reportedly crossed the border illegally as minors.

Central Americans continue to surge across U.S. border, new DHS figures show

U.S. officials are grappling with a 15 percent surge in illegal immigration, reflecting continued failures by the Obama administration to deter illegal immigration along the country’s southwestern border.

Homeland Security officials apprehended 530,250 illegal immigrants and sent 450,954 people back to their home countries over the 12-month period that ended in September, according to figures released Friday by the Department of Homeland Security.

The majority of those apprehended come from Central American countries and include 137,614 families and unaccompanied children, part of an ongoing flight from high crime and violence in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, which human rights advocates have urged the administration to treat as a refugee crisis.

The number of families and children in the past year also exceeded figures from 2015 and 2014, when illegal immigrants from Central America overwhelmed U.S. Border Patrol stations at the Mexican border and President Obama called the flow of children an “urgent humanitarian situation.”

Administration officials said Friday that the latest “removal” figures reflect a concerted policy shift to target convicted criminals over others.

“We continued to better focus our interior resources on removing individuals who may pose threats to public safety — specifically, convicted criminals and threats to national security,” Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a statement. “This prioritization is reflected in actual results.” More than 99 percent of those forcibly removed from the country over the most recent 12-month period fell into the administration’s three priority categories.

Overall deportations have dropped over the past few years, from a peak of more than 400,000 during Obama’s first term.

Immigration human rights advocates, including J. Kevin Appleby, the senior director of international migration policy at the Center for Migration Studies, say the priorities were a good move — probably resulting in fewer deportations overall — but have come too late.
“In the end, the president will be remembered as a deporter, not a reformer. In the first four years, he set record numbers in removals, much to the dismay of the immigrant community,” Appleby said.

Immigration advocates have repeatedly criticized the Obama administration for its increased reliance on detention facilities, particularly for Central American families, who they argue should be treated as refugees fleeing violent home countries rather than as priorities for deportation.

They also say that the growing number of apprehended migrants on the border, as reflected in the new Homeland Security figures, indicate that home raids and detentions of families from Central America isn’t working as a deterrent.

According to the Homeland Security report released Friday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed 352,882 people in detention facilities in fiscal 2016, a sharp rise from 193,951 people placed in detention last year.

Officials said Friday that the shifting demographic — from predominantly Mexican adults trying to cross the border 10 years ago to a larger proportion of Central Americans crossing today — has placed an added strain on Homeland Security resources due to the costs of sending people back to Central America and because of longer processes for people with security concerns.

Many of those arriving from Central America have applied for asylum with claims of “credible or reasonable fear of persecution” in their home countries, Homeland Security officials said.

After pressure from immigration rights advocates, the administration last summer announced plans to expand a State Department program to allow Central American minors to apply for refugee status.

But human rights activists expect detentions to increase under the administration of President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to step up the deportation of illegal immigrants and build a wall on the Mexican border.

Earlier this month, Trump said he would nominate retired Marine Gen. John F. Kelly, a border security hawk, to run the Department of Homeland Security. Kelly has warned about cross-border threats from Mexico and Central America.

Homeland Security figures released Friday showed that nearly 84 percent of the people removed from the United States in fiscal year 2016 were categorized as Priority 1, which includes “national security threats, convicted felons or ‘aggravated felons,’ criminal gang participants, and illegal entrants apprehended at the border,” according to the department’s report.

It was also unclear how many of those convicted were violent criminals or national security threats, as opposed to those whose offenses related only to crossing the border illegally. Twenty-two percent of those sent back to their countries also had no prior criminal convictions, the report said.

At Least 858 Immigrants “Mistakenly” Granted Citizenship – 1 Became a Law Enforcement Officer

At Least 858 Immigrants “Mistakenly” Granted Citizenship – 1 Became a Law Enforcement Officer

According to Homeland Security’s Inspector General, at least 858 immigrants from foreign countries that pose national security risks, as well as those from countries with high immigration fraud who had orders to have them deported were “mistakenly” granted citizenship.

An internal Homeland Security audit was released Monday, which documented the “mistake.”

The Associated Press reports:

The report does not identify any of the immigrants by name, but Inspector General John Roth’s auditors said they were all from “special interest countries” — those that present a national security concern for the United States — or neighboring countries with high rates of immigration fraud. The report did not identify those countries.
DHS said the findings reflect what has long been a problem for immigration officials — old paper-based records containing fingerprint information that can’t be searched electronically. DHS says immigration officials are in the process of uploading these files and that officials will review “every file” identified as a case of possible fraud.

Roth’s report said fingerprints are missing from federal databases for as many as 315,000 immigrants with final deportation orders or who are fugitive criminals. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has not reviewed about 148,000 of those immigrants’ files to add fingerprints to the digital record.

The gap was created because older, paper records were never added to fingerprint databases created by both the now-defunct Immigration and Naturalization Service and the FBI in the 1990s. ICE, the DHS agency responsible for finding and deporting immigrants living in the country illegally, didn’t consistently add digital fingerprint records of immigrants whom agents encountered until 2010.

And this is what happens when government puts its nose in things like healthcare and other unconstitutional things it usurps its authority to meddle in. If the central government had been focused only on the things it is authorized to deal with, this matter would more than likely never have occurred. Not only that, but you can rest assured that no one will be held accountable in the matter.

While DHS is blaming paper issues and fingerprints, there were some of those who were awarded citizenship that were set to be deported.

While Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee Michael McCaul called on ICE to have all immigration fingerprints digitized, but the threat to national security is great since citizens can apply and obtain security clearances or take jobs which are security sensitive.
According to Roth, at least three of these new citizens acquired aviation or transportation worker credentials, granting them access to secure areas in airports or maritime facilities and vessels. He went on to state that their credentials were revoked once it was discovered that they had been given citizenship mistakenly.

He also said that another individual had been given the role of a law enforcement officer.

While changes were recommended and DHS agreed with them and said they would work to implement them, this problem has been going on for years.

According to the AP report, “The government has known about the information gap and its impact on naturalization decisions since at least 2008 when a Customs and Border Protection official identified 206 immigrants who used a different name or other biographical information to gain citizenship or other immigration benefits, though few cases have been investigated.”

What has really been done about it? Nothing. Are we really to expect something new?

U.S. city rolls over for radical mosque

radical-imam-al-maneesey
Waleed Idrus al-Maneesey is a radical imam who heads up the Al-Farooq mosque in Bloomington, Minnesota, attended by at least six known terrorists and terrorist supporters.
A radical mosque known for breeding terrorists has been granted special privileges by the city of Bloomington, Minnesota, which allows its members to take over a public park and treat it as their own, to the exclusion of other residents, according to complaints filed by a citizens group.

The Friends of Smith Park started a petition drive and took its case to the Bloomington City Council with a formal complaint Monday night.

At issue is the Dar al-Farooq mosque, which WND has previously reported has a record of turning Somali refugees into jihadists for ISIS and other terror groups.

At least half a dozen known Somali terrorists have attended Dar al-Farooq in recent years including Adnan Farah, 20, and his brother Mohamed, 22, who pleaded guilty in April to providing material support to ISIS. The mosque is headed by Waleed Idris al-Meneesey, who preaches hatred of Jews straight from the Quran and the hadiths.

Now it has come to light that city officials in Bloomington have given al-Meneesy and his Sharia-compliant followers special privileges that violate its conditional-use permit, or CUP, and that are not offered to any other religious group, said attorney and retired Lt. Col. Larry Frost. By doing so, Frost said the city has exposed itself to potential lawsuits from churches and synagogues in the area that have not been afforded the same rights.

“According to your police officers, you’ve privileged Dal al-Farooq worshipers above all other religions. You’ve made Smith Park a Dar al-Farooq-only zone after the park is already closed, excluding citizens of all other faiths and those of no faith,” said Frost, who represents Friends of Smith Park.

The council members sat mum during Frost’s comments.

Watch attorney Larry Frost lodge complaints against the city of Bloomington’s granting of special rights and privileges to al-Farooq mosque.

Long list of abuses

The list of abuses and alleged violations by Dar al Farooq, which was allowed to build in a residential area, is long. They range from dumping asbestos in the trash to having three to five times the occupancy allowed by its conditional-use permit, making excess noise, shining car lights and producing overflow parking at all hours of the night during the month of Ramadan – and to a lesser extent every weekend. The mosque members take over the adjacent public park and force out residents of nearby neighborhoods, often staying in the park well after the posted closing time of 11 p.m.

Neighbors have been told by mosque workers to get out of Smith Park “because the park belongs to [the Muslims],” said one local woman.

Another local resident, Matilda Zumba, who lives in a neighborhood near the mosque, approached the city council Monday night with an interpreter. She said she has two small children who are always playing outside.

“I’m very afraid because there is a lot of traffic and a lot of speeding and the people of Dar al-Farooq don’t respect our speed limits and the safety of our children,” Zumba told the council. “I’m also now afraid to take our children to the park because there are many people there who do not respect the rights of our own children to play there.

“A lot of times the other children don’t want to work together to share with our children. Sometimes their parents are there and they may shout at them but they don’t do anything, they just continue to let their children interfere. The park is very important to the Spanish community especially and we met there a lot, but now we don’t because we don’t feel safe.”

Mosque attendees have flooded the neighborhood with offsite parking, blocked driveways and walked through neighbors’ yards without permission. The city has told neighbors if they park in joint-use parking, the neighbors have to “hurry to the sidewalk” and get out of the parking lot so it would be available for the mosque.

Last week one supporter of the neighborhood group witnessed mosque abusers using joint-parking areas to practice driving at 1:30 a.m. – by using city garbage cans as obstacles. When the witness came to film the event, three young mosque members confronted him, one demanding to know what he was doing and telling him he could not film the offending car or its license. Later, a police officer told the witness that “only mosque members can use the parking lots after normal park hours” – in other words, the public space is reserved for use by one particular religion after it’s closed to the public.

The city took more than three years and 67 drafts to complete the conditional-use permit with the mosque. Built into that contract is a requirement that the city use a laborious five-phase, six-month enforcement process to correct any Dar al-Farooq violations.

“Clearly that’s a non-enforcement clause,” Frost said. “The city has to give this amazing provision to every new church applicant, and I would argue, every current CUP holder can demand the same. Why? Because you are privileging Dar al-Farooq above other religions.

“One of your own council members said ‘I feel like we’re punishing applicants that came after Dar al Farook,’ because you required them to do things that Dar al-Farooq is not required to do.”

The city council granted a conditional-use permit to Dar al Farooq enabling the mosque to operate in a residential neighborhood, then failed to enforce either the CUP or the joint-use agreement allowing the mosque to use Smith Park.

As a result, the neighbors of Smith Park have been reduced to second-class status, unable to use and enjoy a public park adjacent to their neighborhood.

Mosque actions violating the CUP and JUA were not stopped because the city attorney insisted that the federal Religious Land-use and Incarcerated Persons Act, commonly called RLUIPA, did not allow the city to enforce the CUP/JUA, effectively making the neighborhood around Dar al Farooq a zoning-free area. The city attorney also told council members that enforcement of the CUP could result in lawsuits against council members in their private capacities. Both legal ideas are flatly false, said Frost.

“Your own city attorney, former attorney, told you that you had to do that, but you made a grave legal and moral error when you signed a CUP and then didn’t enforce it, because that’s not what RLUPA says,” Frost told the council on Monday night.

RLUIPA is a federal statute that requires local governments to issue permits for houses of worship equally when it comes to construction projects.

“But once you have the CUP you’re no longer in the permitting phase – it is not a legal permitting issue,” Frost said. “Despite what your previous city attorney said, you can enforce the CUP and you must.”

Friends of Smith Park are asking only that all city council resolutions concerning Dar al Farooq be enforced, including retroactive enforcement where legal and appropriate – exactly as would be the case for all other religious institutions with a conditional-use permit.

A mosque is not just a house of worship

Most Americans believe a mosque or Islamic Center is simply a “Muslim church,” when in fact it operates much differently, said Debra Anderson, coordinator of the Minneapolis chapter of ACT For America.

“In Islam, the prophet Mohammad is viewed as the perfect example of a man,” she said. “Anything he did is considered the example for all Muslims to follow for all time.”

Mohammad used the first mosques as political and military bases as well as houses of worship.

amerikan-mosques
There are now as many as 3,100 mosques in America and nearly 80 percent of them have been opened since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
“It has been from the mosque that devout Mohammadans (Muslims) have waged their war of global conquest, slaughtering non-Muslims who refuse to surrender to Islam and producing a trail of blood and tears across world history,” Anderson said.

Last month police in Germany raided a property near a mosque and found a large cache of military-grade weapons being stored by Islamists.

Turkey’s Islamist president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, once said: “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets, and the Muslim faithful our soldiers…”

Bloomington’s Dar al-Farooq is just one out of 83 mosques in Hennepin county. There are 163 mosques, Islamic centers, masjids and prayer spaces in Minnesota at last count, Anderson said.

“How many are in your county? Who is the Imam? What are they teaching? Are they teaching that ‘Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope?” Anderson asks, referring to the motto of the Muslim Brotherhood.

In an email alert Tuesday, Anderson said three civilian Minnesota women, two of which are grandmothers, have been “doing the work that our FBI and law enforcement agencies used to do before all their training manuals were purged of anything deemed offensive by the Muslim Brotherhood … before our military, intelligence, and law enforcement institutions became ‘sensitive’ to blasphemy laws as dictated by Islamic Sharia law. Yes, the country is in great trouble. You are needed.”

“Please, stand with these American patriots in Bloomington in their effort to protect and preserve the safety and livability of their neighborhood from this radical mosque that is clearly demonstrating their utter disregard for American law, their neighbors … and more importantly our national security.”

UNBELIEVABLE: Obama’s DHS is Shuttling Illegals Across the Border Into Arizona

obama-laughing-at-the-joke-680x365

In 2014, FedEx faced drug-trafficking charges after a federal grand jury in San Francisco indicted it for conspiring to deliver prescription drugs for illegal Internet pharmacies.

“The indictment says FedEx knew for a decade that such pharmacies used their services…”

They apparently ignored nearly a decade of warnings from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Food and Drug Administration and members of Congress… “FedEx knew that it was delivering drugs to dealers and addicts,” the Justice Department said in a press release.

Fast forward to today. After two years, FedEx and our government are headed to federal court. I personally think this is a shakedown, similar to the 2013 case involving UPS. They avoided a court fight, choosing instead to settle, paying the feds some $40 million.

Some however, would say that our government is trying to help us, by cracking down on the evil drug trade – and that’s a good thing, right?

But what about human trafficking? Seems to me this is even worse than drugs. Cartels based in Mexico shuttle illegals into America under the radar and drop them off in various places across the country.

One would think the Obama administration would be more concerned with this epidemic than FedEx and some internet pharmacies. Well, they might, if our government wasn’t the cartel.

Last week Judicial Watch and Zero Hedge reported that the Obama Department of Homeland (In)Security (DHS) “is quietly transporting illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to Phoenix and releasing them without proper processing or issuing court appearance documents.” Yes – you read that right!

DHS is classifying the illegals as “Other Than Mexican” (OTM), which is an all-encompassing term for any illegal alien who hails originally from a country other than Mexico. They claim the illegals come from Honduras, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala. And I wonder where else?

Judicial Watch (JW) witnessed the offloading of 35 illegals in Phoenix, who arrived in an unmarked white van – transported from Tucson, where they were being held by the Border Patrol. Of course the government, meaning we, picked up the tab for this whole shady and unlawful venture.

And what happened to the illegals after they arrived at the inland destination of DHS’s choosing? Nothing – they are simply released into the general population. Well, not quite. Border Patrol sources told JW that “none of the OTMs were issued official court appearance documents, but were told to ‘promise’ they’d show up for a hearing when notified, said federal agents with firsthand knowledge of the operation.” Oh, well then that’s okay.

Think it can’t get worse or somehow weirder? Think again.

DHS isn’t actually doing the transporting. Their hands are clean in that regard – just dirty everywhere else. They instead contracted the transportation to a security firm to perform the “mule” duties. And who is this firm?

It is said to be the world’s largest multinational security company, whose U.S. headquarters are in Jupiter, Fla. The company is G4S. Huh –where have heard that name? Oh, that’s right – it’s the firm that employed the Orlando Islamist killer, Omar Mateen. Small world, isn’t it.

Yes – a terrorist who was once on a watch list and interviewed several times by the FBI, while in their employ, for ties to at least two known Islamic terrorists, was employed by the world’s largest security firm who happens to be contracted to covertly transport illegal OTMs to places unknown within the U.S.

Need I remind you of segment one of my June 5 Podcast, where I chronicled the journey of an Afghani man with ties to the Taliban and his five Pakistani buddies who all made it into the U.S. before being captured. Would they not also be classified as “Other Than Mexican?”

JW has yet given no indication of how long the Obama administration has been perpetrating this heinous act – just that the Border Patrol is outraged, saying: “They’re telling us to put them on a bus and let them go,” said one law enforcement official in Arizona. “Just move those bodies across the country.”

Brandon Judd, chief of the National Border Patrol Council estimates that, “about 80% of apprehended illegal immigrants are released into the United States,” and that, “Single males that aren’t actually seen crossing into the U.S. by Border Patrol agents are released if they claim to have been in the country since 2014.”

We’ve witnessed years of lawlessness by the Obama administration, but they may all pale in comparison to this. In a sane and just world, everyone involved, from the president on down, should rightly be imprisoned for this. It’s what we would do with other human traffickers, would we not?

U.N.'s secret plan for 10 times more Syrian 'refugees'

syrian_refugees2
Obama agrees to provide ‘alternative pathways’ into U.S.

Syrian refugees arrive in Europe. Another 10,000 are set to arrive in the U.S. this year and at least that many in 2017. But now the U.N. is concocting a plan with the Obama administration that will lead to many more than 10,000 finding their way to the U.S.
President Obama and Congress have agreed to fund the permanent resettlement of 10,000 Syrian refugees, but the number of Syrians entering the U.S. over the next three years will end up being much larger.

Possibly up to 10 times larger, says one analyst who follows the global refugee movement. And it’s all about to be done under the radar of Congress with nearly zero media coverage.

Fresh evidence to that effect has come from the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees Filippo Grande and a statement by the U.S. State Department. Together, those statements indicate the U.N. has many more Syrians in store for the U.S. than what Obama has publicly acknowledged.

“Often when they talk about numbers it’s a bit opaque,” says Nayla Rush, senior researcher for the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies. “They want to permanently resettle 480,000 (into countries outside of Syria), but that’s not enough. There will be resettlements but then other routes, ‘alternative safe pathways,’ as stated by the U.N. high commissioner, who is using a new word, ‘pathways.’

“To me this kind of resembles the ‘pathway to citizenship’ (made famous by the 2013 Gang of Eight immigration bill), and they’re applying that now to refugees.”

WND reported earlier this month that the Obama administration has approved a “surge” of Syrian refugees into the U.S., slicing the vetting period from at least 18 months down to just three months.

Rush says, by speeding up the process and diffusing the Syrian entries though a myriad of different immigration programs, the administration hopes to take some of the heat off the refugee resettlement industry while still accomplishing the same mission – bringing more and more Syrian refugees to the U.S.

“So what they’re going to do is speed up the process, let’s bring them fast but let’s also bring them in different ways because states and cities are starting to say, ‘We don’t want all these refugees, the FBI says they’re not safe, and who knows how they will integrate,’” Rush told WND. “People need to integrate, and you can’t force them into neighborhoods. Yet Congress is not even discussing it.”

The original lobbying push more than a year ago by the refugee resettlement industry called on Obama to allow 100,000 Syrian refugees into the country by the end of his term in office.

But with mounting criticism of the program in Congress following terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Obama only agreed to admit 10,000 Syrians, which have consisted of 98 percent Sunni Muslims coming out of U.N. camps in Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq. The pro-refugee lobbyists in the Catholic and Lutheran churches, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the International Rescue Committee and others seemingly were dealt a setback in their plans to get 100,000 Syrians permanently resettled in U.S. cities and towns.

But now word has leaked that the U.N. has another, more secretive plan to get Syrians, possibly up to 100,000 of them, admitted to the U.S. over the next few years.

The new stealth plan has leaked out of the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Both the UNCHR and the State Department have issued statements recently calling for “alternative safe pathways” and “new ways” of transferring Syrians to the U.S. and other Western democracies.

On March 30 the United Nations held a “high-level meeting” in Geneva to address the refugee crisis. The question at hand was how to relieve the mounting stress on a few countries in the Middle East and Europe by spreading the refugee burden “more equitably” among nations.

A synopsis of the meeting posted on the U.N. refugee agency’s website suggests the U.N. is cooking up a plan to send increasing numbers of Syrian refugees into the United States without calling them “refugees.”

U.N. officials are now speaking of “safe alternative pathways” and “alternative avenues” for Syrians into the U.S. and other countries.

The UNCHR website states:

“The purpose of the meeting was to explore mechanisms for the admission of Syrian refugees that could be adopted by States to relieve the pressure on countries currently hosting large numbers. Such mechanisms could include resettlement, which is an important protection tool targeting the most vulnerable individuals, as well as other pathways, such as humanitarian admission or transfer, family reunification, labor mobility schemes and scholarships.”

“Labor mobility” is U.N. code for the free flow of “guest workers” across open borders, while “scholarships” is a clear signal that education-based programs will be used to bring young Syrians to the United States.

“Using ‘pathways’ for citizenship, it seems, may be a little less scary than ‘refugees,’” says Rush.

Ann Corcoran, another refugee expert who has been following the issue closely since 2007, also sees a significant pivot in the language being used as open-borders advocates have run into stiff resistance in more than a dozen states following the attacks on Paris that killed 130 people on Dec. 2, 2015, when it was discovered that two of the eight attackers were “refugees” carrying Syrian passports.

“‘Refugees’ has become a dirty word,” said Corcoran, author of the blog Refugee Resettlement Watch. “When I first started following the refugee issue back in 2007, it was a warm and fuzzy kind of thing. They’ve spent years building up the word ‘refugee’ to mean something positive, but they haven’t been successful, and now it’s sort of like dirt. It’s backfired.”

So instead of just “refugee resettlement,” the U.N. and its open-borders supporters will be talking about “alternative pathways” for displaced persons.

The end result, says Rush, will be the same.

More migrants from jihadist hotbeds in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia will end up living in American cities earmarked for resettlements.

The legitimacy and transparency of these new “pathways” for refugees to the West remain to be seen, said Rush, who addressed the topic in her April 25 blog post.

The U.N.’s goal for resettlement is 480,000 Syrian refugee placements in more than a dozen Western nations over the next three years.

But it concedes that 480,000 is a drop in the bucket when compared to the 4.6 million refugees who have allegedly been chased out of Syria by the 5-year-old civil war.

In his opening statement at the March 30 meeting in Geneva, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grande indicated that nations should get more creative in the way they admit Syrian refugees:

“These pathways can take many forms: not only resettlement, but also more flexible mechanisms for family reunification, including extended family members, labor mobility schemes, student visas and scholarships, as well as visas for medical reasons.”

There simply are not enough places willing to accept resettled refugees, Grande said, so alternative methods must be found.

“Resettlement needs vastly outstrip the places that have been made available so far,” he said. “But humanitarian and student visa, job permits and family reunification would represent safe avenues of admission for many other refugees as well.”

Since the U.S. refugee program already allows for family reunification of spouses and children under age 21, the U.N. plan can only be referring to an expansion of this privilege.

Sure enough, that’s exactly what is happening.

The U.S. State Department released a media note following the Geneva meeting in which it announced the following (emphasis added):

“The United States joins UNHCR in calling for new ways nations, civil society, the private sector and individuals can together address the global refugee challenge.”
“Additionally, the United States has created a program to allow U.S. citizens and permanent residents to file refugee applications for their Syrian family member.”
Grandi on April 20 sent out a tweet that again used the phrase “safe pathways.”

Grandi seized on the tragic loss of about 500 refugee lives when their boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea to tweet the following message:

Filipo Grande tweet on safe pathways for refugees

“It just shows you, 500 people died crossing the Mediterranean, and he tweeted the new talking points, and the policy now is to use these words: ‘safe pathways,’” Rush said.

In a panel discussion on the Global Refugee Crisis: Moral Dimensions and Practical Solutions organized by the Brookings Institution earlier this year, Elizabeth Ferris, research professor at Georgetown University and adviser to the U.N. Secretary General on humanitarian refugee policy, talked about the need to find different solutions to the ongoing humanitarian Syrian crisis.

The refugee resettlement program was no longer sufficient to admit Syrian refugees, she said. “alternative safe pathways” are needed.

“She’s suggesting, and the U.S. is agreeing, that we find new pathways, with aunts and grandmothers, and uncles, scholarships and the private sponsorship means maybe neighbors too,” Rush said. “It’s not just your wife and children under 21 anymore who will be welcomed. So you might be resettling 10,000 a year, but with these schemes it could easily 10 times more I believe, and this is something we need to pay attention to, especially with Obama hosting the global refugee summit in September and him finishing his term in office. People who are on the way out are more likely to do desperate measures.”

Rush said “safe pathways” is “a term we’re going to hear a lot about moving forward.”

The numbers are so big and the avenues so diverse that it will become hard to track how many Syrians have entered the U.S., Rush said, until long after they’re here.

“They’re talking about work permits and labor mobility schemes, and there is no way to find out how many will enter every year,” she said. “This is happening now. We have to keep an eye out, but how do you find out? Congress agreed to accept 10,000 Syrians, but it didn’t agree to this.”

Immigrant population over 15% in record 16 states, over 25% in 6

One third of the nation’s 50 states now have immigrant populations over 15 percent, with six over 25 percent, raising new questions about the country’s ability to absorb the immigrant flood in schools and the job market, a new report on government immigration data said.

The new Center for Immigration Studies analysis of the 61 million immigrants and their children now in America revealed the speed at how the nation’s population has changed since 1970.

According to interactive maps unveiled Monday by CIS, there were no states in 1970 that recorded immigrant populations over 15 percent. Today one third of the nation’s states register over 15 percent immigrant: California, Nevada, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Washington, Arizona, Illinois, Maryland, Georgia, Virginia, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Oregon.

And the population of immigrants and their children in six are over 25 percent immigrant: California, Nevada, Texas, Florida, New York and New Jersey.

California, for example, went from 13 percent immigrant in 1970 to over 37 percent last year. Texas went from 5 percent to 25 percent over that same period.

The maps can be seen here.

The report by CIS immigration experts Steven A. Camarota and Bryan Griffith raised new concerns, heard in some corners in Congress, about the speed of legal and illegal immigration and whether states can assimilate the new people into their programs, everything from schools to jobs.
Referring to their December analysis that 61 million legal and illegal immigrants and their children in the country, the experts wrote, “The numbers represent a complete break with the recent history of the United States. As recently as 1970, there were only 13.5 million immigrants and their young children in the country, accounting for one in 15 U.S. residents.”

It is likely to further push immigration critics in Congress to advocate for restrictions on the issuing of green cards and work visas until more studies can be done to make sure that native-born Americans aren’t losing out to immigrants, especially for jobs.

The Amount of Immigrants Living In These Six States Will Terrify You

Baseball, the free market, John Wayne, apple pie and Ford Mustangs. For many Americans these are more than a few of our favorite things. They represent American culture, identity and appeal. Americana. Well, get ready to possibly waive goodbye to all that playing much part in the America of tomorrow. According to a study published on March 28th by the Center for Immigration Studies , 6 states now report at least a 25% immigrant minority population. That’s only part of the 61 million total immigrants living in the U.S as of December 2015. Of course, that number represents both the legal and illegal immigrants the Center can get data on. Just how many unreported illegal immigrants are actually in the U.S. is up for debate.

From the study:

The 6 states with at least a 25% immigrant population are California, Nevada, Texas, New York, New Jersey, and Florida
Almost one in five U.S. residents is now an immigrant or minor child of an immigrant parent
The numbers represent a complete break with the recent history of the United States. As recently as 1970, there were only 13.5 million immigrants and their young children in the country, accounting for one in 15 U.S. resident.
The number of immigrants and their young children grew six times faster than the nation’s total population from 1970 to 2015 — 353 percent vs. 59 percent
11 states, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut have at least 15% immigrant population.
Now before our friends on the left start bellyaching that America is a land of immigrants and unless you’re a Native American (or is it Washington Redskin) we’re all “immigrants”, allow me to point out a little basic reality. There is a clear and critical difference between legal, structured immigration that enables people to not just enter American soil, but simultaneously enter American culture. Not change it to their liking. Remember those things I mentioned at the top? Yep, that’s all part of the America that immigrants should want, not want to eradicate. What we’re suffering through today- beyond liberal-sanctioned illegal entry- is a mindset that no longer encourages immigrants to become American but rather for immigrants to set up their own separate culture while requiring America to essentially embrace a foreign identity.

Beyond the culture-shift of course is an entire economic and political game plan of destruction by the Left. That third bullet point above should be all the craziness anyone needs to see the truth in the Marxist plot to create a massive underclass of uneducated, unskilled and thoroughly dependent on government cheese, “citizens”.

What Democrat doesn’t love the idea of as many people as possible clinging to government programs for their very existence?

California Allows Non-Citizens to Vote, Which is Illegal, So Every California Vote should be Disqualified

by Tony Elliott
The official number of illegal aliens in the state of California is nearly 3 million. We can estimate the number to be more than double this amount in reality.

Over half of all drivers license issued in California were given to individuals who are here illegally and the state automatically registers those with a driver’s license to vote.

In 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown (D-CA) signed a bill giving full voting rights to illegal aliens. This gives them the right to vote in all elections from a local level to national elections, including that of choosing who will become President.

The biggest problem with this is it is against Federal law for non-citizens to vote in any national election. This in itself negates the votes made by illegal aliens in California and any other state which allows them to vote.

According to the law in California, which gives Illegal aliens the right to vote along with the Federal law that prohibits them from participating in national elections, we must conclude that all votes cast in California for President of the United States be considered null and void. What this means is the state of California’s votes, both in the upcoming primaries and the general election, have to be disqualified.

In all fairness to the candidates running for president, and abiding by Federal law, the Federal government simply must prohibit California votes from counting until which time the state can prove that no illegal alien vote was cast in national elections.

illegals voteThe state has the right to permit them to vote in local and state elections if they choose, but not in national elections.

Since the sheer number of illegal aliens voting in California is astounding and is more than likely double that of legal citizens voting, the tally from the primaries must be held up and no delegates awarded.

What we have here in disqualifying California from national elections is, aside from it being against Federal law to allow non citizens to vote, would be keeping people who have no right to be here in the first place from influencing the outcome of elections nationally. The simple fact that they are here in this country illegally supersedes them from having any rights as legal citizens in making decisions as to who runs our country.

No country in the world allows individuals who are non citizens to vote in any election.

It is time the US abides by the constitutional laws of the land or become a nation of chaos where we pick and choose what laws we will obey and disregard the ones we happen not to agree with.

The moral issue is we must stand as a nation of values based on what makes us unique to the rest of the world and refuse to degrade our country to the substandard level socialist politicians wish to sink us to.

If the law is adhered to, the California votes must be ignored.
