CBO Projects 2 Million Fewer Jobs Under ObamaCare

Thee_RANT_LogoObamacare ObamaCare is expected to cost the U.S. workforce a total of 2 million jobs over the next decade, Congress’s nonpartisan scorekeeper said Monday.

The total workforce will shrink by just under 1 percent as a result of the new coverage expansions, mandates and changes in tax rates, according to a 22-page report released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

“Some people would choose to work fewer hours; others would leave the labor force entirely or remain unemployed for longer than they otherwise would,” the agency said in its latest analysis of the now five-year-old law.

Republicans were quick to seize on the report, which provides new analysis of a previously mentioned figure.

“When the President’s health law hurts the labor force at the same time it increases healthcare premiums and taxes, it’s clear the law is not working for the American people,” said Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah.).

ObamaCare will force a reduction in American work hours — the equivalent of 2 million jobs over the next decade, Congress’s nonpartisan scorekeeper said Monday.

The total workforce will shrink by just under 1 percent as a result of changes in worker participation because of the new coverage expansions, mandates and changes in tax rates, according to a 22-page report released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

“Some people would choose to work fewer hours; others would leave the labor force entirely or remain unemployed for longer than they otherwise would,” the agency said in its latest analysis of the now five-year-old law.
The CBO is not predicting that employers will fire millions of workers or reduce hours because of the law, but that the law changes incentives over the years for the workers themselves both in part-time and full-time positions.

That could mean that older Americans who wish to retire but have remained in the workforce solely for employer health benefits could opt to leave their jobs.

Republicans were quick to seize on the report, which provides an update through 2025.

America Looks A Lot Like Nazi Germany Did Just Prior To World War II

hitlerOBAMA_2
Once upon a time America fought a great war to rid the world of the Nazis, but now we have become just like them. In fact, I would venture to say that the Nazification of the United States is pretty much complete. As you will see below, we have a heavily socialized economy where tax rates are out of control and lots of freebies are given out just like the Nazis did. And just like the Nazis, our society has become highly militarized and our government has become increasingly obsessed with watching, tracking, monitoring and controlling the general population. But more than anything else, all of the pageantry and beauty in our society masks an evil which has grown to a level that is almost unspeakable. The other day, my wife and I were watching some footage of the beautiful parades and celebrations that were held in Germany before World War II, and they certainly were very impressive. But under the surface, a great evil was growing. Just because something happens behind closed doors does not make it okay, and just like the Nazis, our society is about to learn an exceedingly painful lesson in that regard.

Let’s start out by talking about the economy. Most people tend to regard the Nazis as “far right,” but the truth is that they were socialists. By heavily taxing and spending, the Nazis were able to temporarily restore economic prosperity after the great economic crisis that occurred under the Weimar Republic, and this helped fuel their wild popularity. The following comes from Wikipedia…
In the midst of the Great Depression, the Nazis restored economic stability and ended mass unemployment using heavy military spending and a mixed economy. Extensive public works were undertaken, including the construction of Autobahns (high speed highways). The return to economic stability boosted the regime’s popularity.
Just like the Democrats of today, most people don’t consider the Nazis to have been socialists, but that is precisely what they were. I think that former game show host Chuck Woolery nailed it with some of his recent public statements…

Chuck Woolery, perhaps best known for being the host of the show “Love Connection” from 1982-94, also frequently takes to Twitter to express political viewpoints. In a recent series of tweets Woolery, 74, offered his opinion on politics, the size of government, and the political nature of the Nazi party:
“Nazi is described as a right wing organization, Yet their were Socialists [sic]. They were left. But Chuck. But My BUTT.”
“National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Nazi Party. Hitler. Need I go on?”
“Maybe better. Democrats don’t value the country. They value the power of Government. There is a difference ya know.”
I knew there was a reason why I always liked that guy.
Just like Barack Obama and the Democrats, the Nazis loved to give out free stuff. Kitty Werthmann was a child in Austria at the time the Nazis took over, and her description of the freebies the Nazis were handing out sounds very much like what the Democrats want to do today…
Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
I like free stuff too, but in the end someone always has to pay for all of that free stuff. According to Kitty Werthmann, “our tax rates went up to 80% of our income,” and in America we are moving in the same direction.
In the United States today, when you add up all federal taxes, all state taxes, all local taxes, all property taxes and all sales taxes, there are some Americans that actually pay more than 50 percent of their incomes in taxes.
Somehow we still have the audacity to claim that we are not socialists even though that is exactly what we have become.
And the Germans had their own version of Obamacare too. The following is more eyewitness testimony from Kitty Werthmann…
Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
There is no way that you can get around it. The Nazis were never on “the far right.” The were always leftists, and they always hated capitalsim. National Socialist theologian Gregor Strasser once made the following statement…
We National Socialists are enemies, deadly enemies, of the present capitalist system with its exploitation of the economically weak … and we are resolved under all circumstances to destroy this system.
Not even Barack Obama or Bernie Sanders would make such an extreme statement today.
And like the Nazis, our society has become highly militarized.
Just prior to World War II, the Germans probably had the most powerful military on the entire planet, and they loved to use that military to push other countries around. They stunned the entire world when they swept through Poland, and the lightning speed with which they defeated France changed the way war is waged forever.
But just like the leftists in our own nation, the Nazis definitely did not want the general population to be armed. Kitty Werthmann remembers very well what happened in Austria under the Nazis…
Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
And just like the leftists of today, the Germans were extremely suspicious of individual liberty and freedom. The secret police were everywhere, and anyone that was even suspected of anti-government activity was monitored very closely.
Sadly, we are becoming just like the Nazis in this regard, only now we have the technological capability to take things so much farther. Government control freaks are systematically watching us, tracking us, recording our phone calls and monitoring our emails. It has gotten so bad that even 64 percent of all reporters believe that the government is spying on them. We spy on our enemies, we spy on our friends (just ask the French and the Germans about this) and we even spy on the little old lady down the street.
We have been sold the lie that we have to give up our privacy and our liberty in exchange for security.
It is the same lie that the Nazis told.
But perhaps our greatest similarity to the Nazi regime of the 1930s is our lust for blood.
What the Nazis did behind closed doors was so horrific that it is hard to even speak about it. Once the Holocaust was revealed, the world should have never allowed crimes against humanity like that to ever happen again.
But they are happening.
They are happening behind closed doors in America today, and most Americans are perfectly okay with this.
In this country, millions of babies are being systematically murdered and their organs are being harvested. Those organs are then sold off to the highest bidder and they are ultimately used in extremely bizarre scientific experiments.
In recent months, these crimes have been put on display for all the world to see, and yet the American people have not responded with outrage. In fact, only 29 percent of Americans even want to cut off the hundreds of millions of dollars that Planned Parenthood is getting from the federal government every year.

Do you know what that 29 percent figure tells me?
It tells me that America is done.
America is finished.
And it turns out that Hitler was actually a huge fan of the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger. As I have written about previously, it was Sanger that once said the following…
“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
Hitler echoed this sentiment when he penned the following in Mein Kampf…
“The demand that defective people be prevented from propagating equally defective offspring. . . represents the most humane act of mankind.”
Of course those on the left are going to get very upset by all of this, and I am sure that some of them will leave some very nasty comments following this article.
But the truth is the truth.
And it isn’t just Democrats – most Republicans in Congress are in the exact same boat too.
If we don’t want to be like the Nazis, we should stop acting like them, and that includes not pushing Christianity out of every area of public life. The following information was uncovered by author Bruce Walker, the author of “The Swastika Against the Cross: The Nazi War on Christianity“…
The Nazi tract Gott und Volk was distributed in 1941, and it describes the life cycle of German youth in the future, who would: “With parties and gifts the youth will be led painlessly from one faith to the other and will grow up without ever having heard of the Sermon on the Mount or the Golden Rule, to say nothing of the Ten Commandments… The education of the youth is to be confined primarily by the teacher, the officer, and the leaders of the party. The priests will die out. They have estranged the youth from the Volk. Into their places will step the leaders. Not deputies of God. But anyway the best Germans. And how shall we train our children? Thus, as though they had never heard of Christianity!”
Our nation is falling apart because we have rejected the values and the principles that were handed down to us by our forefathers.
We have embraced the same lies that the Nazis embraced, and if we don’t turn around we will experience a similar fate.
I think that the following excerpt from a recent RT editorial sums things up pretty well…
The United States is in decline. While not all major shocks to the system will be devastating, when the right one comes along, the outcome may be dramatic.
Not all explosives are the same. We all know you have to be careful with dynamite. Best to handle it gently and not smoke while you’re around it.
Semtex is different. You can drop it. You can throw it. You can put it in the fire. Nothing will happen. Nothing until you put the right detonator in it, that is.
To me, the US – and most of the supposedly free West – increasingly looks like a truck being systematically filled with Semtex.
But it’s easy to counter cries of alarm with the fact that the truck is stable – because it’s true: you can hurl more boxes into the back without any real danger. Absent the right detonator, it is no more dangerous than a truckload of mayonnaise.
But add the right detonator and you’re just one click away from complete devastation.
Absent a major crisis, the United States may be able to keep going down this same road for a few years more.
But I wouldn’t count on it.
We have willingly chosen to tear down and destroy everything that our forefathers built, and we were convinced that we had a better way.
Now decades of incredibly foolish decisions are starting to catch up with us, and yet we still persist in our stubbornness.
So where do we go from here?
What will the fate of America be?

Guess How Many Changes Obama Has Made Unilaterally to the Affordable Care Act

By our count at the Galen Institute, more than 49 significant changes already have been made to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: at least 30 that President Obama has made unilaterally, 17 that Congress has passed and the president has signed, and 2 by the Supreme Court.

CHANGES BY ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION

1. Medicare Advantage patch: The administration ordered an advance draw on funds from a Medicare bonus program in order to provide extra payments to Medicare Advantage plans, in an effort to temporarily forestall cuts in benefits and therefore delay early exodus of MA plans from the program. (April 19, 2011)

2. Employee reporting: The administration, contrary to the Obamacare legislation, instituted a one-year delay of the requirement that employers must report to their employees on their W-2 forms the full cost of their employer-provided health insurance. (January 1, 2012)

3. Subsidies may flow through federal exchanges: The IRS issued a rule that allows premium assistance tax credits to be available in federal exchanges although the law specified that they only would be available through an “Exchange established by the State.” (May 23, 2012)

4. Closing the high-risk pool: The administration decided to prematurely halt enrollment in transitional federal high-risk pools created by the law, blocking coverage for an estimated 40,000 new applicants, citing a lack of funds. The administration had money from a fund under Secretary Sebelius’s control to extend the pools, but instead used the money to pay for advertising for Obamacare enrollment and other purposes. (February 15, 2013)

5. Doubling allowed deductibles: Because some group health plans use more than one benefits administrator, plans are allowed to apply separate patient cost-sharing limits to different services, such as doctor/hospital and prescription drugs, allowing maximum out-of-pocket costs to be twice as high as the law intended. (February 20, 2013)

6. Small businesses on hold: The administration has said that the federal exchanges for small businesses will not be ready by the 2014 statutory deadline, and instead delayed until 2015 the provision of SHOP (Small-Employer Health Option Program) that requires the exchanges to offer a choice of qualified health plans. (March 11, 2013)

7. Delaying a low-income plan: The administration delayed implementation of the Basic Health Program until 2015. It would have provided more-affordable health coverage for certain low-income individuals not eligible for Medicaid. (March 22, 2013)

8. Employer-mandate delay: By an administrative action that’s contrary to statutory language in the ACA, the reporting requirements for employers were delayed by one year. (July 2, 2013)

9. Self-attestation: Because of the difficulty of verifying income after the employer-reporting requirement was delayed, the administration decided it would allow “self-attestation” of income by applicants for health insurance in the exchanges. This was later partially retracted after congressional and public outcry over the likelihood of fraud. (July 15, 2013)

10. Delaying the online SHOP exchange: The administration first delayed for a month and later for a year until November 2014 the launch of the online insurance marketplace for small businesses. The exchange was originally scheduled to launch on October 1, 2013. (September 26, 2013) (November 27, 2013)

11. Congressional opt-out: The administration decided to offer employer contributions to members of Congress and their staffs when they purchase insurance on the exchanges created by the ACA, a subsidy the law doesn’t provide. (September 30, 2013)

12. Delaying the individual mandate: The administration changed the deadline for the individual mandate, by declaring that customers who have purchased insurance by March 31, 2014 will avoid the tax penalty. Previously, they would have had to purchase a plan by mid-February. (October 23, 2013)

13. Insurance companies may offer canceled plans: The administration announced that insurance companies may reoffer plans that previous regulations forced them to cancel. (November 14, 2013)

14. Exempting unions from reinsurance fee: The administration gave unions an exemption from the reinsurance fee (one of ObamaCare’s many new taxes). To make up for this exemption, non-exempt plans will have to pay a higher fee, which will likely be passed onto consumers in the form of higher premiums and deductibles. (December 2, 2013)

15. Extending Preexisting Condition Insurance Plan: The administration extended the federal high risk pool until January 31, 2014 and again until March 15, 2014 to prevent a coverage gap for the most vulnerable. The plans were scheduled to expire on December 31, but were extended because it has been impossible for some to sign up for new coverage on healthcare.gov. (December 12, 2013) (January 14, 2014)

16. Expanding hardship waiver to those with canceled plans: The administration expanded the hardship waiver, which excludes people from the individual mandate and allows some to purchase catastrophic health insurance, to people who have had their plans canceled because of ObamaCare regulations. The administration later extended this waiver until October 1, 2016. (December 19, 2013) (March 5, 2014)

17. Bay State bailout: More than 300,000 people in Massachusetts gained temporary Medicaid coverage in 2014 without verification of eligibility, with the Obama and Patrick administrations using a taxpayer-funded bailout to mask the failure of the commonwealth’s disastrously malfunctioning

18. Equal employer coverage delayed: Tax officials will not be enforcing in 2014 the mandate requiring employers to offer equal coverage to all their employees. This provision of the law was supposed to go into effect in 2010, but IRS officials have “yet to issue regulations for employers to follow.” (January 18, 2013)

19. Employer-mandate delayed again: The administration delayed for an additional year provisions of the employer mandate, postponing enforcement of the requirement for medium-size employers until 2016 and relaxing some requirements for larger employers. Businesses with 100 or more employees must offer coverage to 70% of their full-time employees in 2015 and 95% in 2016 and beyond. (February 10, 2014)

20. Extending subsidies to non-exchange plans: The administration released a bulletin through CMS extending subsidies to individuals who purchased health insurance plans outside of the federal or state exchanges. The bulletin also requires retroactive coverage and subsidies for individuals from the date they applied on the marketplace rather than the date they actually enrolled in a plan. (February 27, 2014)

21. Non-compliant health plans get two year extension: The administration pushed back the deadline by two years that requires health insurers to cancel plans that are not compliant with ObamaCare’s mandates. These “illegal” plans may now be offered until 2017. This extension will prevent a wave cancellation notices from going out before the 2014 midterm elections. (March 5, 2014)

22. Reducing cost sharing reductions. The ACA originally called for out-of-pocket maximums to be lowered for enrollees with incomes between 100-400% FPL (Sec. 1402), but the provision proved unworkable for those 250-400% of FPL in combination with prescribed actuarial value requirements and was changed through regulation to apply to only those 100-250% of poverty. (March 11, 2014)

23. Delaying the sign-up deadline: The administration delayed until mid-April the March 31 deadline to sign up for insurance. Applicants simply need to check a box on their application to qualify for this extended sign-up period. (March 26, 2014)

24. Canceling Medicare Advantage cuts: The administration canceled scheduled cuts to Medicare Advantage. The ACA calls for $200 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage over 10 years. (April 7, 2014)

25. More Funds for Insurer Bailout: The administration said it will supplement risk corridor payments to health insurance plans with “other sources of funding” if the higher risk profile of enrollees means the plans would lose money. (May 16, 2014)

26. Exempting U.S. territories: Despite earlier administration claims that “HHS is not authorized to choose which provisions [of the ACA] might apply to the territories,” HHSwaived six major requirements – such as guaranteed issue, community rating, and essential benefit mandates – that were causing serious disruption to health insurance markets covering 4.5 million residents of U.S. territories. (July 18, 2014)

27. Failure to enforce abortion restrictions. A GAO report found that many exchange insurance plans don’t separate charges for abortion services as required by the ACA, showing that the administration is not enforcing the law. In 2014, abortions were being financed with taxpayer funds in more than 1,000 exchange plans. (Sept. 16, 2014)

28. Risk Corridor coverage: The Obama administration plans to illegally distribute risk corridor payments to insurers, despite studies by both the Congressional Research Service and the GAO saying a congressional appropriation is required before federal agencies can make the payments. (Sept. 30, 2014)

29. Transparency of coverage: CMS delays statutory requirements on insurance companies to disclose data on the number of people enrolled, disenrollment, number of claims denied, costs to consumers of certain services, etc. (Oct. 20, 2014)

30. Tax penalty pass: Approximately 50,000 taxpayers filed income tax returns based upon inaccurate subsidy data they received from the federal government. The administration declared that if they received too large of a subsidy, they will not have to repay the government. The ACA requires, in Sec. 5000A, that “Any penalty imposed…shall be included with a taxpayer’s return…” (February 24, 2015)

CHANGES BY CONGRESS, SIGNED BY PRESIDENT OBAMA:

31. Military benefits: Congress clarified that plans provided by TRICARE, the military’s health-insurance program, constitutes minimal essential health-care coverage as required by the ACA; its benefits and plans wouldn’t normally meet ACA requirements. (April 26, 2010)

32. VA benefits: Congress also clarified that health care provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs constitutes minimum essential health-care coverage as required by the ACA. (May 27, 2010)

33. Drug-price clarification: Congress modified the definition of average manufacturer price (AMP) to include inhalation, infusion, implanted, or injectable drugs that are not generally dispensed through a retail pharmacy. (August 10, 2010)

34. Doc-fix tax: Congress modified the amount of premium tax credits that individuals would have to repay if they are over-allotted, an action designed to help offset the costs of the postponement of cuts in Medicare physician payments called for in the ACA. (December 15, 2010)

35. Extending the adoption credit: Congress extended the nonrefundable adoption tax credit, which happened to be included in the ACA, through tax year 2012. (December 17, 2010)

36. TRICARE for adult children: Congress extended TRICARE coverage to dependent adult children up to age 26 when it had previously only covered those up to the age of 21 — though beneficiaries still have to pay premiums for them. (January 7, 2011)

37. 1099 repealed: Congress repealed the paperwork (“1099”) mandate that would have required businesses to report to the IRS all of their transactions with vendors totaling $600 or more in a year. (April 14, 2011)

38. No free-choice vouchers: Congress repealed a program, supported by Senator Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) that would have allowed “free-choice vouchers,” that the Hill warned “could lead young, healthy workers to opt out” of their employer plans, “driving up costs for everybody else.” The same law barred additional funds for the IRS to hire new agents to enforce the health-care law. (April 15, 2011)

39. No Medicaid for well-to-do seniors: Congress saved taxpayers $13 billion by changing how the eligibility for certain programs is calculated under Obamacare. Without the change, a couple earning as much as much as $64,000 would still have been able to qualify for Medicaid. (November 21, 2011)

40. CO-OPs, IPAB, IRS defunded: Congress made further cuts to agencies implementing Obamacare. It trimmed another $400 million off the CO-OP program, cut another $305 million from the IRS to hamper its ability to enforce the law’s tax hikes and mandates, and rescinded $10 million in funding for the controversial Independent Payment Advisory Board. (December 23, 2011)

41. Slush-fund savings: Congress slashed another $11.6 billion from the Prevention and Public Health slush fund and $2.5 billion from Obamacare’s “Louisiana Purchase.” (February 22, 2012)

42. Less cash for Louisiana: One of the tricks used to get Obamacare through the Senate was the special “Louisiana Purchase” deal for the state’s Democratic senator, Mary Landrieu. Congress saved another $670 million by rescinding additional funds from this bargain. (July 6, 2012)

43. CLASS Act eliminated: Congress repealed the unsustainable CLASS (Community Living Assistance Services and Supports) program of government-subsidized long-term-care insurance, which even the Democratic chairman of the Senate Finance Committee dubbed a “Ponzi scheme of the first order.” (January 2, 2013)

44. Cutting CO-OPs: Congress cut $2.2 billion from the “Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan” (CO-OP), which some saw as a stealth public option, blocking creation of government-subsidized co-op insurance programs in about half the states. Early reports showed many co-ops, which had received federal loans, had run into serious financial trouble. (January 2, 2013)

45. Trimming the Medicare trust-fund transfer: Congress rescinded $200 million of the $500 million scheduled to be taken from the Medicare Part A and Part B trust funds and sent to the Community-Based Care Transition Program established and funded by the ACA. (March 26, 2013)

46. Eliminating caps on deductibles for small group plans: Congress eliminated the cap on deductibles for small group plans as part of the SGR “doc fix.” This change gives small businesses the freedom to offer high deductible plans that may be paired with a Health Savings Account. (April 1, 2014)

47. Making the risk corridor program budget neutral. The Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2015 provides that CMS may not transfer funds from other accounts to pay for the risk corridor program. Expenditures cannot exceed the funds collected in 2014, blocking CMS from making multi-year calculations. (December 16, 2014).

CHANGES BY THE SUPREME COURT:

48. Medicare expansion made voluntary: The court ruled it had to be voluntary, rather than mandatory, for states to expand Medicaid eligibility to people with incomes up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level, by ruling that the federal government couldn’t halt funds for existing state Medicaid programs if they chose not to expand the program.

49. The individual mandate made a tax: The court determined that violating the mandate that Americans must purchase government-approved health insurance would only result in individuals’ paying a “tax,” making it, legally speaking, optional for people to comply.

DENYING THE MESSIAH

‘A lot of people die out here’ and ‘all this blood…is on Obama’s hands’: Shocking images show corpses of illegal immigrants left to die after border crossings

The dead bodies of illegal immigrants are turning up in south Texas as Central Americans pour across the U.S.-Mexico border, and a veterinarian who ranches cattle 70 miles from ground zero has the photos to prove it.
Dr. Mike ‘Doc’ Vickers of Brooks County, Texas showed some of the grisly images to MailOnline, all of them far too grotesque to publish unedited.
One picture shows a corpse propped up against a tree near his ranch in Brooks County, his eyes missing and dried blood cascading down his shirtless body.
‘This guy, obviously, had to lay down up against that tree, and that’s where he died,’ Vickers says in interview footage provided exclusively to MailOnline by documentary filmmaker Chris Burgard.
Falcons native to the Rio Grande river valley ‘plucked his eyes out before he was dead,’ the animal doctor concludes. ‘He bled out through his eyes, which tells me that he was probably in a coma but they were eatin’ on him before his heart stopped beating.’

Two graphic for words: The body of an illegal immigrant whose eyes were plucked out by birds of prey as he lay dying — Filmmaker Chris Burgard has published footage showing the uncensored images on YouTube
Burgard is working on a sequel to his 2007 documentary, ‘Border,’ which made a splash on the film-festival circuit years before illegal immigration swelled to what President Barack Obama now concedes is a ‘humanitarian crisis.’
When he filmed ‘Border’ in 2005, he said, ‘we had to go out and find illegal traffic.’
‘This time it found us.’
He screened his film on Capitol Hill back then, telling members of Congress that children were becoming pawns in Mexican drug cartels’ smuggling operations into the U.S. homeland.
‘I am not surprised to find immigrants dying 70 miles north of the border,’ Burgard told MailOnline, but ‘I am surprised that nine years later it is still a secret to most of the American people.’
‘The Federal Government has long known about this,’ he said, ticking off Texas and Arizona counties where human remains are continually turning up.
‘Local officials who deal with collecting the bodies are so overwhelmed financially that the cost of coroner inquests on each case is dramatically affecting their budgets.’
Vickers, 64, told MailOnline on Wednesday that since 2012 his organization, the Texas Border Volunteers, has counted 259 dead bodies in his native Brooks County alone, including those of children.
‘And we’re probably only finding 20 per cent of them. A lot of people die out here.’
‘We find a hell of a lot of women,’ he said. ‘Three of the last ones who have died on my ranch have been women. We found a dead 12-year-old boy on my neighbor’s property.’
Some have the good fortune to find Vickers and his crew.
‘We’ve rescued some small children, quite a few,’ Vickers recalled. ‘One boy, 11 years old, was left behind 8 or 9 miles off the highway. He had no idea where he was.’ The border volunteers gave him water and arranged for U.S. Border Patrol agents to pick him up.
‘I’ve seen families out in my front yard under a tree,’ he said, ‘with little bitty toddlers with them.’
The group of about 300 amateur patrolmen go out in teams of up to 40 armed men at a time for 4- to 5-day patrols, reporting to Border Patrol agents and Texas Rangers on where the immigrant traffic is heaviest.
The closest U.S. Border Patrol station, at Falfurrias, Texas, is about 4-1/2 miles from Vickers’ 1,000-acre ranch.
An official in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency confirmed that in the month of June more than 4,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended at or near that checkpoint.
About 82 per cent of them were so-called ‘OTM’ border crossers – ‘Other Than Mexican.’
More than 400 were children.
The federal government doesn’t keep statistics on how many dead immigrants’ bodies are recovered, the DHS official told MailOnline.

He conceded to MailOnline that ‘we don’t know how many people are dying without reaching us, just like we don’t know how many people are making it past the checkpoint without being detected.’
Most come from Central America and pay human traffickers known as ‘coyotes’ between $5,000 and $8,000 each to be smuggled into the United States.
Many don’t make it alive.
‘The fact is, they’re all homicides,’ Vickers said. ‘These people pay coyotes who are affiliated with drug cartels big money to be brought here and dropped off at the checkpoint. And they go through our private property to avoid detection.’
‘And the coyotes, a lot of times, by the time they get to the checkpoint, or even north of the checkpoint, run off and leave them. And you know, they’ll point at a light up north, one of those radio towers, and say, “Just keep walking toward that tower. Houston’s 20 minutes away”.’
Houston is a 280-mile drive from Falfurrias.
‘They’ve already duped them of their money,’ he explained. ‘And then some days later they’re still walking around in circles up here with no water. And you know, a lot of them die.’
‘A lot of coyotes don’t leave them, but they put them on a fast pace. We’re talking 3 to 4 miles per hour, through all this deep sand and all this brush, and real, real treacherous terrain. And if they can’t keep up, they’ll beat on them a little bit and tell them, “We’re just going to leave you here to die.” And they do.’
Vickers, a small-time cattle rancher who spends most of his days as a veterinarian caring for his neighbors’ livestock, will play a significant role in Burgard’s next movie.
In the filmmaker’s footage, Vickers shows a photo he took of a gang-tattooed drug runner who was dehydrated when the Texas Border Volunteers stumbled onto him, near the point of death from heat exhaustion.
‘We actually saved this guy’s life,’ he said.
‘After we got the “pistolero” treated, we went another 300 yards and found this guy,’ he says, pointing to a picture of a badly decomposed corpse. ‘He wasn’t so lucky.’

The VA Scandal Just Got Worse

by Onan Coca
I’m not sure it’s possible that a scandal where the government allows our heroes to die without ever receiving care, then covers up those deaths as if they never happened… can get any worse. But if it can, it just did.

The New York Times is reporting that corruption, backlog and heartlessness at the VA go back much longer than the government first let on.

Staff members at dozens of Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals across the country have objected for years to falsified patient appointment schedules and other improper practices, only to be rebuffed, disciplined or even fired after speaking up, according to interviews with current and former staff members and internal documents.

The growing V.A. scandal over long patient wait times and fake scheduling books is emboldening hundreds of employees to go to federal watchdogs, unions, lawmakers and outside whistle-blower groups to report continuing problems, officials for those various groups said.

In interviews with The New York Times, a half-dozen current and former staff members — four doctors, a nurse and an office manager in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Alaska — said they faced retaliation for reporting systemic problems. Their accounts, some corroborated by internal documents, portray a culture of silence and intimidation within the department and echo experiences detailed by other V.A. personnel in court filings, government investigations and congressional testimony, much of it largely unnoticed until now.

VA comic2The department has a history of retaliating against whistle-blowers, which Sloan D. Gibson, the acting V.A. secretary, acknowledged this month at a news conference in San Antonio. “I understand that we’ve got a cultural issue there, and we’re going to deal with that cultural issue,” said Mr. Gibson, who replaced Eric K. Shinseki after Mr. Shinseki resigned over the scandal last month. Punishing whistle-blowers is “absolutely unacceptable,” Mr. Gibson said.

The federal Office of Special Counsel, which investigates whistle-blower complaints, is examining 37 claims of retaliation by V.A. employees in 19 states, and recently persuaded the V.A. to drop the disciplining of three staff members who had spoken out.

The Times article also says that thus far, the pogrom against whistleblowers goes back at least 7 years!

This is simply more proof of how the government works. Whether it’s the IRS, the NSA, the Justice Department, the EPA, the BLM, or the VA, government agencies are heavy-handed and often without oversight. The government is just too BIG. There is no way to monitor all of the horrible mismanagement and malfeasance that happens among these agencies – which is a prime example of why socialism/communism is always full of corruption and waste. It is inefficient, and when dealing with people, simple and unmeant inefficiency very quickly becomes destructive evil.

So, the VA has known about these problems for years and done nothing to solve them. In fact, instead of dealing with the issues, they’ve instead persecuted the people trying to fix things, and just swept the mess under the rug.

Sounds just like our government.

The folks at Reason have put together a brilliant music video that succinctly explains the entire VA scandal and throws in a little Bowe Bergdahl just for fun.

When we heard the wait times on our list
were so long that patients died
We said “This is government-run healthcare”
“So we’re gonna do what’s right”

We’re gonna grab a piece of paper
and we’ll make a second list
We’ll just say that wait times aren’t that long
and that no deadlines were missed
and when people die we’ll cross them off
and pretend they don’t exist
cuz there ain’t no doubt we can’t be fired
God bless the government

Our government sucks. Let’s get to work on getting a new one.

Obamaland: Where Cowboys are Villains and Race-Baiters, Gay Radicals and Marxists are Heroes

by Doug Giles
BundyWeThePeople
Rancher Cliven Bundy looks like he could still be in a heap of trouble for having thoroughly ticked off Fedzilla and the Keebler elf himself, Harry Reid.

Being the peacemaking Christian that I am, herewith are ten ways Cliven Bundy could get the Feds off his backside and actually ingratiate himself to the big government droogies of the Left.

1. Bundy should fire his ranch foreman and hire Jay Carney who could effectively lie his butt off about Cliven’s cows. “Eating grass? His cows aren’t eating grass. What are you talking about? These are the most transparent, grass adverse, cows ever.”

2. Bundy should rename his ranch “Benghazi” , then the Feds would never show up. Ever.

3. Staying with the Benghazi motif, Bundy could also blame his cows’ raid upon the BLM’s grass flats the result of an anti-Muslim YouTube video. Case closed.

4. Bundy should start boldly smoking and selling grass versus having his cows eat the grass.

5. Bundy should become, for the remainder of his life, a vile race-baiter. If he sold nothing but hate towards whites and conservatives, he could owe the IRS two million in back-taxes and they’d include him during White House fundraisers and MSNBC would give him his own talk show. Problem solved.

6. Staying in the racist vein, Bundy could join the New Black Panthers Party, change his name to Shabrique Shazamm and intimidate all the white devils when they show up to vote during the upcoming midterms. Can you say, “Instant protection by the DOJ?”

7. Bundy should get gold-capped teeth, trade his cowboy hat in for a hoodie, walk around holding his crotch and say “mother-%&#$@” every other word. He’d be hailed as a victim and a poet. A victim poet, I tell you.

8. Bundy should build a mosque on Ground Zero. If he did that he’d own half of Nevada.

9. Bundy should start hanging out with Latin dictators and expand his enterprise from cattle ranching to a gun running operation for drug cartels south of the border. Do it, Cliven. Like, muy pronto.

10. Finally, and especially, Bundy should claim that he was the inspiration for Brokeback Mountain. If CB played the gay card they’d throw him a party at the White House and the BLM goons, wearing Daisy Dukes, would serve him and his posse a desert tortoise consommé.

Obama’s Private Army Storm Troopers Surround Nevada Ranch In Waco Style Showdown

CNN – A 20-year dispute between a Nevada rancher and federal rangers over illegal cattle grazing erupted into an Old West-style showdown on the open range this week, even prompting self-proclaimed members of militia groups from across the country to join the rancher in fighting what they say is U.S. “tyranny.”

What began as a legal fight between longtime rancher Cliven Bundy and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management has escalated as Bundy kept his cattle on the federal land, and the government has responded by beginning roundups of the livestock.

Krissy Thornton, right, and Burgundy Hall are among those protesting the U.S. government’s roundup of a rancher’s cattle near Bunkerville, Nevada, on Wednesday, April 9. A 20-year dispute between Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and federal rangers erupted into an Old West-style showdown this week. The government says Bundy’s livestock has been illegally grazing on U.S. lands for 20 years. Bundy says his family’s cattle has grazed on the land since the 1800s.

A confrontation teetered on violence Wednesday when Bundy family members and dozens of supporters angrily confronted a group of rangers holding Tasers and barking dogs on leashes near Bunkerville, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

Federal officials say a police dog was kicked and officers were assaulted. Bundy family members say they were thrown to the ground or jolted with a Taser. source – CNN
