EPIC Beatdown as Conservative Pundit Destroys #BlackLivesMatter Defender!

AM 770 KTTH is a lone conservative voice in the wilderness of the liberal Northwest. The radio station broadcasts in Seattle, Washington and the surrounding area and has worked hard to reach out to their community with the truths of conservatism. This past year the station hosted a debate between two liberal #BlackLivesMatter activists and two conservative activists — the brilliant Ben Shapiro being one of those conservatives. What followed was an hour and a half long debate drubbing that even seemed to turn the tide of opinion in the audience.

Here are the highlights for you to enjoy – 5 minutes of awesome.

You can see more of Ben Shapiro’s thoughts on #BlackLivesMatter from the Daily Wire where he explains the truth that the organization doesn’t actually care about black lives.

Civil Rights Icon: ‘The Problem is Blacks Killing Other Blacks, Not the Confederate Flag’

An international civil rights icon and former Atlanta mayor weighs in on the debate the entire country is talking about. FOX 5’s Morse Diggs sat down with Ambassador Andrew Young to get his take on the Confederate flag and his answer might surprise you. He said some people fighting against the flag are more worried about treating the symptoms than treating the illness. Also he is not advocating a tax on the flag. The former two-term mayor suggested people focus more on the substance of the problems and issues of today and not on a symbol. He said a lesson should have been learned by what happened at the State Capitol. He said supporters of former Governor Roy Barnes won a big state battle but lost the State House. When looking at the flags that fly at Stone Mountain, it’s not hard to miss the presence of the Confederate Flag. For some it’s a symbol of past or even present attitudes of intolerance. Andrew young claimed it doesn’t answer anything. “I would never trade the flag for a single job,” said Young. “The problems we face don’t have anything to do with the flag. The fact is that 93% of black people killed are killed by other black people. So black lives matter. Let us start believing that we matter.”

Communist icon lets cat out of bag on U.S. ‘refugees’

davis-angela
Angela Davis
University professor and former Communist Party USA leader Angela Davis said in an interview that the refugee movement “is the movement of the 21st century” for radicals such as herself.

The 1960s’ queen of counter-culture activism was filmed walking through the streets of Berlin, Germany, during a May 14-15 visit listening to the problems encountered by African refugees living in the city. Many have been squatting in a former school since December 2012, but Davis was not allowed in, so she talked with refugee activists outside the front gate.

International Women Space, a left-of-center group, posted the video on Vimeo, showing the refugees voicing concerns about the German government with regard to their “demands for a school to be transformed into a community center for refugees,” Davis said.

The refugee activists told Davis of their demands for better health care, housing and food.

They complained of having to sleep 15 to a room in cramped quarters.

“Even German animals are living better than we refugees,” one man told Davis. “The dogs and cats that German people have, they have special food for them. They have …”

“Thank you so much, for telling us about your experiences here, and about the struggle around the school here,” Davis said.

“We know that the demands were to create a community center, a cultural center, that would be available to refugees, and of course the demands of the refugee movement are far vaster, because human beings deserve to be treated as human beings. All human beings deserve jobs, and housing and health care. So I want you to know that we are with you in your struggle,” David told the group. “And that we will take this information back to the United States and encourage people to support you as you move forward.

“As I was saying in the other meeting, the refugee movement is the movement of the 21st century. It’s the movement that is challenging the effects of global capitalism. It’s the movement that is calling for civil rights for all human beings, so thank you very much and good luck with your work.”

Watch video clip of Angela Davis speaking to African refugees in Berlin, Germany last week:

Davis, 71, headed the feminist studies program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, following her time as a leader in the Communist Party USA.

Davis, who came out as a lesbian in 1997, has also lectured as a visiting professor at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, San Francisco State, Stanford University, Brown University and several other colleges. Earlier this year, she came to speak at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, a conservative suburban community just north of Atlanta. The university paid her $20,000 to speak and encountered a backlash from local Republicans.

Davis left the Communist Party in the 1990s to help found the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, which broke from the Communist Party USA because of the latter’s support of the Soviet coup attempt of 1991, according to Amy Lind’s 2008 book, “Battleground: Women, Gender and Sexuality.”

angela-davis-in-19602
Davis encouraged the refugees in Germany to cultivate “a culture of resistance” focused on community organizing.

Since the fall of dictator Moammar Gadhafi in Libya and the resulting struggle for power there, Muslim refugees have been flooding from north Africa into Europe. Recently they have been arriving in boats at a rate of several thousand per week, overwhelming Italy especially.

Italy has taken in the boat people, offering food and temporary shelter while aiming to get fellow European countries to help with placement into permanent communities. Native-born populations have been divided in how to deal with the explosion in migrants coming into Europe but, like in the United States, any movement to block the entry of the refugees is met with accusations of racism and bigotry.

The U.S. takes in more United Nations refugees than any other country at about 70,000 per year.

But refugees are increasingly becoming politically active, as evidenced by their meeting with a professional Marxist organizer like Davis.

And it’s not only happening in Germany. Similar demands have been made among Somali refugees in Minnesota, where late last year a group of Somali women demanded that the county commissioners of Hennepin County stock the local food pantry with halal meat in accordance with Islamic dietary laws. Somali refugees in Seattle demanded better access to government-subsidized housing.

Passing the torch to a new generation

“The movements get recreated every generation,” Davis told the refugees in Germany. “Those today, they are the grandchildren of the activists back then, through organization, through music, the desire to resist, to speak out against the racism. Also the organizers. The organizers like you.”

She then issued more advice: Be tolerant of differing opinions and priorities among activists and avoid in-fighting against each other.

“There are always going to be contradictions. You have to work with those contradictions. … You don’t want everyone to think the same. You figure out how to work with those contradictions and make them productive.”

Davis was arrested, charged, tried and acquitted of conspiracy in the 1970 armed take-over of a Marin County courtroom, in which four people died.

Davis was closely tied to the Black Panther Party through her involvement in the civil rights movement in the late 1960s. She visited Cuba after her release from prison in the early 1970s and declared it a racism-free society.

“Only under socialism could the fight against racism be successfully executed,” she said, according to Mark Sawyer’s 2006 book, “Racial Politics in Post-Revolutionary Cuba.”

Her interests have included prisoner rights, Palestinian rights and now refugee rights. She is a retired professor and distinguished professor emerita with the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was a distinguished visiting professor at Syracuse University in spring of 1992 and again in October 2010.

‘Excited’ to be teaching Marxism to young minds

Her research interests are feminism, African-American studies, critical theory, Marxism, popular music, social consciousness and the philosophy and history of punishment and prisons. Her membership in the Communist Party led to Ronald Reagan’s request in 1969 to have her barred from teaching at any university in the state of California. She was twice a candidate for vice president on the Communist Party USA ticket during the 1980s.

In a 1989 interview recorded for Washington University Libraries, Davis talked about her early days as a community organizer with the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee in Los Angeles.

“And I was very excited about the work that we were able to do in the community,” she said. “Within a very short period of time we had hundreds of active members of the organization. I was the head of the Liberation School which I found extremely exciting, because I had always felt somewhat uncomfortable in the purely academic environment there I was able to teach Marx to community people, to young people.”

It’s time for black Americans to blame black Americans

Hi I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. I’ve been glued to the television for days now watching the violence and unrest going on in Baltimore. I’m here today to make a statement… and to ask an important question. The statement is simple: It’s time for Black America to stop blaming others for their problems. It’s time for Black America to blame black America.

The big question is “Does Black Violence Matter?” Because we know that black protestors think “Black Lives Matter.” We all agree. Of course black lives matter. Protesters march every day with those signs. Every time a black youth is shot by a white cop we see those signs “Black Lives Matter.” But when blacks murder other blacks… no signs. When blacks riot and burn their own black neighborhoods… no signs. When blacks loot and burn black businesses… no signs. When blacks try to hurt, maim or kill police officers… no signs. Does that mean that “Black Violence Doesn’t Matter?”

Here are some more questions. Here are the people and groups black Americans should be questioning and blaming.

Where are the black fathers in Baltimore? They don‘t exist. I saw black mothers in the streets. I saw black male teens rioting in the streets. But no black fathers trying to keep their kids off the streets and away from violence. The real issue is that the welfare state has destroyed the black family. The protestors should be carrying signs that say “Black Fathers Matter.”

Did you see that heroic mother screaming at and hitting her own son to keep him from joining the mob? She did what any mother would do to save her son’s life… or prevent him from going to jail and ruining his life. But where was her husband while her son was about to ruin his life? Where was the father? The grandfather? There are no adult men in this tragic and dysfunctional picture.

Where is Obama? Our nation’s first black president was silent that whole first day as blacks tore apart a major America city. He’s quick to weigh in and assign blame every time one black kid gets shot by a white cop. But not a word when thousands of blacks rampage and terrorize a city? Not a word about black-on-black crime, rioting, looting, burning or murder?

Sure he weighed in the next day from the safety of the Rose Garden. But only when he had no choice- he was cornered by journalists who demanded a comment. But he was a day late and a dollar short.

Why wasn’t he “boots on the ground” at the scene. Afterall Baltimore is in his backyard. He could almost walk from the White House. He got almost 90 percent of the black vote just two years ago from those very neighborhoods. He has plenty of time to go golfing. But no time to walk a major American city, in his own backyard, that is burning at the hands of his own people?

Freud would have a field day with this one.

Where is the black mayor of Baltimore? She clearly ordered police to stand down, make no arrests, stop no crimes while her city was being destroyed, while the businesses she is sworn to protect were being looted and burned. She clearly said days before the riots went ballistic that she wanted to create a “space for those who want to destroy.” Then she blamed the media for merely repeating her words verbatim.

What’s the excuse of the day? The excuse in the past was blacks felt powerless with white politicians and white police in charge. Well Baltimore is under 100 percent black and Democrat control. You mean blacks feel powerless with a black mayor, black city council, black police chief and minority-majority police force (meaning the police are made up of a majority of people of color). When do the excuses end? When do you stop blaming others?

Where are the black leaders? Where’s Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? They all had a week to see what was happening. When the mayor locked the fans in the Baltimore Orioles stadium on Friday night for their own protection, it was pretty clear sign trouble was coming! Yet not a peep out of Al or Jesse. And no preparation by government to prevent rioting.

Here’s a good question: Where is our government when taxpayers need protection? I saw a store owner on the national news two nights ago. Her store was a fixture in that Baltimore neighborhood for 30 years. Now it’s destroyed. All her goods stolen. Her employees laid off. So what good is government if they can’t even protect a store owner and taxpayer?

I’m a Libertarian conservative. I’m not a fan of government. I think government is a mixture of incompetence, evil and thievery. The perfect storm. There’s only one thing I believe government is there for- protecting our lives and property from criminals and foreign enemies. That’s it. And they can’t even do that.

That store owner paid property taxes for 30 years and the city stood by while her livelihood was destroyed. What a joke. What fraud. She deserves an instant refund of all 30 years of her property taxes?

The mafia demands 10 percent for protection money from a business owner… then they protect us. Government calls that fraud. They put the mafia in jail for that. They call it extortion.

But government demands 50 percent of our money, then they stand by and they don’t even protect us. They stand by and allow criminals to loot and burn our businesses. Guess what? I choose the mafia. It’s a much better deal!

How about the war on poverty? How’s that worked out for black America? The longest and most expensive war in American history has been in place since LBJ and inner cities like Baltimore look exactly the same. Same poverty. Same hopelessness. Same anger and violence. Same rioting and blame and excuses. After $22 trillion has been spent — more (by far) than all the wars in the history of America combined, the results are… nothing. Not a damn thing has changed.

Here’s a question for black America? How has having the first black president helped your cause? With black unemployment double that of whites, who is to blame? With the economy on death watch and 0 percent GDP growth, who’s to blame? With the workforce participation rate at modern day lows for blacks, who’s to blame? With more than 100 million Americans on welfare checks of some kind, who’s to blame? With black poverty at modern day highs under a black president, who’s to blame?

I heard ultra-liberal (and pathetically politically correct) CNN analyst Sally Kohn blame white America today. She wished white America would be half as outraged over “police violence” as they are over the rioting.

Well I have a message for Sally Kohn: I wish black Americans would be half as outraged over black-on-black violence, black-on-black murders, black gangs, black drug dealers, black looting, black burning of black small businesses and black rioting as they are about one white cop killing one black kid.

And one more thought for Sally and liberals like her…

What has 50 years of black rule, liberal welfare and entitlement policies, excuses and blame towards white people done for black Americans in inner cities like Baltimore and Detroit? Where’s the progress in those cities under 100 percent Democrat politicians and policies?

The sighting of a white Republican on the streets of cities like Detroit and Baltimore is just a rumor. There were no Republicans or white people among the local leaders at the podium in Baltimore yesterday with the mayor. On that stage was 100 percent black leadership. Yet urban inner cities like Baltimore and Detroit are in ruins.

It’s time to take personal responsibility. Slavery was a long, long, long time ago. My Jewish relatives were enslaved by Hitler and the Nazis much more recently than your ancestors were enslaved by the South. It’s time to move on.

It’s time to fight for jobs, not welfare. It’s time to look within yourselves. It’s time to stop blaming others. It’s time to blame black fathers. It’s time to blame black leaders. It’s time to blame a black president. It’s time to ask what the Democratic Party has ever done for you except ensure you’re helpless, hopeless and dependent on government to survive. It’s time to blame the war on poverty.

It’s time for black Americans to blame black Americans.

I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. See you next week. Get ready for my most explosive column ever. It’s the biggest story of my career. It’s an expose of crimes, targeting and intimidation by Obama, government and the IRS. It’s factual — direct from my personal IRS files obtained by Judicial Watch under the Freedom of Information Act. This is breaking news. And it could take down this corrupt government once and for all. See you next week. God bless America.

New Ferguson Looting Video Shows the Sheer Lunacy of Rioters

Apparently there were at least dozens of immoral, violent, disgusting people out protesting in the St. Louis area on the night of November 24, 2014. How do I know? Because St. Louis County police just release a ridiculous video showing dozens of hardened criminals breaking into a local store called the Dellwood Market and stealing or destroying everything they could get their hands on.

Watch the insane video:

What makes the situation even crazier (if possible) is that liberals are actually complaining about the police decision to release this video.

The police are hoping that by releasing the video they might be able to bring some (if not all) of the perpetrators to justice. However, liberals don’t ACTUALLY care about justice when a crime has been committed. They only care about how the crime makes their cause seem less important. For an example of this, read what Nick Chiles from the Atlanta Black Star had to say about the video.

It’s a dramatic illustration of law enforcement attempting to subvert the emerging narrative of Black youth energized and engaged, flooding the streets of this country in demonstrative displays of their anger. The multiracial “die-ins” and marches across the country had largely erased from the public’s mind the images of riots and lawlessness that were sparked by the grand jury’s decision on Nov. 24.

Yeah, the police are the bad guys for releasing video of a crime being committed. That makes total sense.

Sharpton: Blacks Can’t Act Decently Without More Government Payouts

al-sharpton-justice-ap
By Ben Shapiro

On Sunday, Al Sharpton appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press to fulfill his weekend race-baiting quota, discussing the grand jury results in the cases of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. After Chuck Todd asked Sharpton about addressing the problem of “economic hopelessness” in the black community – Garner was arrested for selling “loosies,” cigarettes outside the pack, illegally – Sharpton explained that he supported a “jobs bill…infrastructure development.”
Then he continued by explaining that if Congress didn’t pass such bills, black men could not be held responsible for taking care of their children:
You can’t kill a jobs bill and infrastructure and then tell men to take care of their families. You can’t have it both ways.
Actually, you can. It turns out that taking care of your family is a basic facet of being a decent human being. But this sort of moral blackmail – the notion that black men cannot be expected to obey the dictates of fundamental morality without government support — has become commonplace among members of the left. Darlena Cunha, author of “Ferguson: In Defense of Rioting,” appeared on my show, The Ben Shapiro Show on KTTH 770 in Seattle, where she explained:
We’re talking about decades and generations worth of people who have been downtrodden. Mom and dad don’t have the opportunities to stay together, to work….They are burdened in different ways because people are leaving them behind because we think we’ve solved racism. At least when they were segregated they had a community….We need to start teaching them how to work every day, how to get along in a work environment, and how to act in a business society…
When I asked Cunha why we couldn’t encourage people to simply not have children before marriage, graduate high school, and get a job, she answered:
I don’t think you can encourage people not to have children before they get married and to get a job and to graduate high school when they’re dealing with issues that we don’t have to deal with….We need to help them have personal responsibility. They can’t do it when they’re busy trying to eat.
In other words, give people money, or they will abandon their children, drop out of school, and refuse to get a job – even, as Cunha defends, burn down the property of their fellow citizens and attack police officers.
That’s racial blackmail.
It’s also nothing new. In his book, The Future Once Happened Here, Fred Siegel of the Manhattan Institute writes of the 1960s “riot ideology,” the belief on the left that in the aftermath of race riots, “more money for the cities was essential – if not to halt riots, then to contain the still rising racial anger, which expressed itself in rising rates of often violent crime.” That is why, for example, President Lyndon Johnson’s attorney general, Nicholas Katzenbach, “warned of riots in ‘thirty or forty’ more cities if the Model Cities legislation providing funds for community renewal projects wasn’t passed quickly.”
The threat of riots became the hallmark of black governance in major cities like Washington, D.C., where the now-sainted recently-deceased Marion Barry held sway. “I know for a fact that white people get scared of the [Black] Panthers,” he once said, “and they might give money to somebody a little more moderate.” Barry helped take advantage of 1968 riots in D.C.; following those riots, Siegel reports, “Barry received at least $3.8 million in additional federal, largely Labor Department, grants to expand PRIDE.” Barry would go on to pledge “war on the police department and the city,” which he would then enact after becoming mayor.
In New York, Mayor John Lindsay, a titular Republican, gave way to the same sort of race-baiting. Lindsay attempted actively to enroll people in welfare and hire them to useless government jobs, all in the name of avoiding violence. One of Lindsay’s aides explained, “Our experience is that some good can come of confrontation politics.” The good, of course, was expanded government services. In one incident, a mother shouted at Lindsay, “I’ve got six kids, and each one of them has a different daddy. It’s my job to have kids, and your job, Mr. Mayor, to take care of them.”
This ideology destroyed two of the greatest cities in America. It has similarly destroyed Detroit, where riots in the late 1960s did not spring from poverty – Detroit’s rioters were 83 percent employed – but from racial rage. Mayor Coleman Young ripped the “suburbs” – code for “whites” – and drove all the white taxpayers out of the city in the name of racial justice.
Today, as then, that ideology is now federal policy. The Department of Justice Community Relations Service has now descended on Ferguson, Missouri, where instead of insisting on law and order, the DOJ tells residents about “the issues of white privilege and racism.” The President of the United States is in on the act, telling BET on Sunday, “This is something that is deeply rooted in our society, it’s deeply rooted in our history.” His attorney general, Eric Holder, is set to announce DOJ policies on racial profiling today, even though there is no evidence that either Michael Brown or Eric Garner was racially profiled.
The next step, of course, is to make the connection Sharpton makes – to connect “income inequality” with racial unrest. Then the circuit will be complete, and we will have come full circle back to the politics of the late 1960s – the politics that destroyed America’s greatest cities and laid the groundwork for the destruction of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of racial equality through decency.

U.S. officials in meltdown on Obama’s Ebola mission

by Jerome Corsi

troops-africa
WASHINGTON, D.C. – At a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing Wednesday on Ebola, government health workers were unable to answer specific questions posed by Republicans skeptical of President Obama’s decision to deploy 3,000 U.S. troops to Liberia to combat the disease.

None of the government health witnesses testifying were able to answer basic questions, including how many physicians and nurses would be among the 3,000 troops allocated or what type of protective equipment and training would be employed to prevent infection.

The witnesses explained the State Department was in charge of the military mission, not the Pentagon.

“Who do we call when there is a problem with the troops in Liberia?” asked Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, a physician and a guest on the committee.

“You call USAID,” replied Nancy Lindborg, assistant administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development, USAID.

She explained the situation in Liberia is a medical emergency, and USAID is directing the Obama administration’s response in West Africa.

USAID reports to the State Department, not to the Department of Defense.

As WND reported, retired Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin has charged that sending American troops to combat Ebola in Liberia is “an absolute misuse of the U.S. military.”

Rep. Christopher Smith, R-N.J., began the questioning by asking the government health witnesses whether or not the Obama administration has allocated sufficient funding to support the military mission in Liberia. Smith also asked what steps the administration plans to take to protect the health of the troops deployed there.

Unable to directly answer Smith’s questions, Lindborg stressed the U.S. wants to provide “command and control” in Liberia, coordinating international efforts to provide physicians and nurses.

Lindborg promised to deliver after the hearing a breakdown of the roles the 3,000 U.S. troops would play.

She explained the goal of the military mission is to establish a Joint Force Command headquartered in Liberia to serve as a regional command for U.S. military activities in the region. The plan is also to establish an Ebola “training boot camp” to train up to 500 local health care workers weekly and to set up a 25-bed hospital in Liberia open to all health care aid workers in West Africa who contract the disease.

“When will the 3,000 military be in theater?” Smith asked. “Can you also reassure the American people that the military deployed to Liberia will have adequate protective medical equipment and training to make sure our troops do not get infected with Ebola while in the region”

Lindborg was unable to provide Smith precise timelines for the arrival of U.S. troops nor was she able to detail the protective medical equipment and training the troops will be provided prior to arrival.

Coming to Linborg’s defense, Dr. Beth Bell, director of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Disease at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, explained the CDC has prepared material regarding what medical personnel dispatched to West Africa to combat Ebola need to know before they arrive in the disease hot zone.

In her prepared opening statement, Bell appeared to minimize the risk presented by the current outbreak, stressing Ebola is “not a significant health threat to the United States.”

She argued Ebola is not easily transmitted and does not spread from people who are not ill She also noted cultural norms that contribute to the spread of the disease in Africa, such as burial customs, are not a factor in the U.S.

“There is a window of opportunity to tamp down the spread of this disease, but that window is closing,” Bell testified. “The best way to prevent the Ebola virus from reaching the United States is to contain the virus outbreak in West Africa now.”

She told the committee that the $600 million the United Nations believes will be needed to get supplies to West African countries to get the virus under control is “an underestimate.”

Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, explained the NAAID has begun active human testing of various alternative therapies and experimental drugs to combat Ebola. The effort includes working with Mapp Biopharmaceutical, Inc. to develop MB-003, a combination of three antibodies that has successfully prevented Ebola from developing in monkeys when administered as late as 48 hours after exposure.

In combination with the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, NIAID is testing an experimental vaccine that uses a chimpanzee virus similar to the common cold virus, Chimp Adenovirus 3 (Cad3), as a carrier, or vector, to introduce the Ebola virus genes into the body, with the goal of stimulating an immune response.

Fauci, under questioning from the committee, argued that while it is possible the Ebola virus could mutate in Liberia to become airborne, it is unlikely.

“The American public should not lose sleep over the possibility Ebola will go airborne,” he said. “But we have to contain the virus right now, because the more the virus escalating, infecting additional people, the greater the chance the virus will mutate.”

Obama Pulling Military Personnel Off ISIS Mission To Combat Ebola, Pentagon’s “Number One Priority”

How are people that are trained to kill going to help with a killer virus?
Check it out:

The Fox News Channel reported on Sunday that the U.S. military’s emphasis on Ebola prevention, driven by President Barack Obama, has stretched thin most if not all of its other missions.

A senior military official told Fox that General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said at a recent meeting that ‘the Department of Defense’s number one priority is combating Ebola.’

The network’s source commented that ‘we don’t need to be taking planners away from the CT [counter-terrorism] mission, and that is what is going on.’

Defense spending is down 21 per cent since 2010, the first fiscal year for which the Obama administration presided over the federal budget.

But the president is insisting that the military carry much of the burden in Africa.

Michael Brown: A Criminal and a Thug

by Matthew Vadum
As the media-sanctioned rioting, bloodshed and looting continue in Ferguson, Missouri, evidence is emerging that police shooting victim Michael Brown wasn’t the upstanding citizen that many on the Left have claimed him to be.

All of this is happening as mobs have been attacking cops with Molotov cocktails and destroying community infrastructure. Some blacks in the region are reportedly randomly assaulting non-blacks as collective payback for what happened to Brown. Looting and property destruction are rampant. Scores of people have been arrested. Aircraft were ordered to fly at least 3,000 feet over Ferguson airspace after police said their helicopters were fired on from the ground.

081514_tobin1400_video2_640-450x2531

A curfew was imposed, and the state’s feckless Democratic governor, Jay Nixon, stripped local police of some of their responsibilities, replacing them with state highway patrolmen. This, predictably, led to more looting of stores and all the things that usually happen when an angry, violent mob is rewarded for its bad behavior.

Through it all, the Left is out in force in Ferguson, trying to make a bad situation worse. The criminal elements of the city have been emboldened by martyrized accounts of Brown, and have carried out a campaign of destruction against the civil order under the banner of “no justice, no peace.”

As happened in the Trayvon Martin case two years ago, the hulking, nearly 300-lbs. Brown has been portrayed as an innocent doe-eyed angel unfairly cut down by evil police as a promising future awaited him. In Brown’s case, he was said to be just days away from heading off to college.

But as one blogger observed, in this age of ubiquitous social media, the 18-year-old African-American man left behind,

“a cache of rap songs … that contain pretty much what you’d expect out of modern rap – lots of boasting about murdering, taking drugs, drinking, and sex with hos.”

In one of them labeled “Free$tyle Big’Mike,” one performer raps, “My favorite part’s when they bodies hit the ground. I soak ‘em up like I’m wringin’ out a sponge.”

The fact that Brown liked performing thug music obviously doesn’t by itself make him a thug, but it does provide insight into his state of mind. The same can be said for the photographs that have surfaced of Brown posing like a tough guy, making gestures with his hands that some say are gang signs.

But what Brown did before he was killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, whose home and address were publicized by a reporter despite ceaseless death threats against the officer, offers compelling insight into what made Brown tick.

Evidence is now available that shows that Brown tried to wrest a gun away from a policeman and that he was ordered to freeze before he charged Darren Wilson and was shot. Some have suggested Brown was high on drugs at the time and that made him especially aggressive but a toxicology report on his body won’t be available for weeks.

Before the shooting incident last weekend, Brown used violence and the threat of more violence to steal. With an accomplice, he knocked over a convenience store, bullying victims with his prodigious size and weight. (Incidentally, the owner of the store told the Washington Post he fears that his customers will murder him and that he begged reporters not to suggest that he called the police on Brown.)

An official incident report about the robbery was released Friday by Ferguson police, over the vehement but ultimately groundless objections of left-wing politicians, including the Missouri governor and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. History shows that leftist office holders aren’t too concerned about getting to the bottom of a matter when their supporters are in the streets calling for blood. If the documentation in question helped make the case that the local police were cold-blooded, murdering racists, those same politicians would be loudly demanding its release.

The report in question identifies Brown and his 22-year-old friend Darren Johnson as suspects in the Aug. 9 robbery that took place minutes before Brown’s death.

According to the report, police responded to a call about “stealing in progress” at a convenience store. The stolen item was a $48.99 box of Swisher Sweets cigars. Marijuana users are known to hollow out such cigars and use them to smoke drugs.

A man identified as Brown was captured in store surveillance stills having a physical confrontation with a much smaller store employee who tried to lock the doors of the establishment to prevent the men from departing with the stolen item.

The 6’ 4”, 292-pound Brown took the employee by his shirt and pushed him back into some merchandise. As Brown moved toward the door, he then turned around and moved toward the worker “appearing to intimidate him.” After that Brown disappears from the camera footage.

Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson made the video of the robbery available Friday, explaining that state law forced him to act. Reporters had demanded the footage under the Freedom of Information Act, Jackson said.

The Obama administration sought to suppress the release of the inconvenient footage by pressuring the department not to release it to the public. Pandering for votes, Gov. Jay Nixon said Sunday he “deeply” disagreed with the decision by Ferguson police to release the robbery video.

The recording was made public “Number one to attempt in essence to disparage the character [of Brown] in the middle of a process like this is not right,” Nixon said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

So, first local police were condemned for not being sufficiently transparent; then after they released a key piece of evidence they were condemned for being too transparent.

Gov. Nixon then claimed that releasing the video was too painful for his constituents. “And secondarily it did put the community and, quite frankly, the region and the nation on alert again,” he said.

Of the week-old case, Nixon said, “These are old wounds, these are deep wounds in these communities and that action was not helpful.” Of course, by the governor’s reasoning the local police have no right to make the case that they are not murderers while they are being indicted by the frenzied Ferguson community, media and political Left.

Gov. Nixon again pushed emotional buttons, playing to the mob. “When you see your son gunned down in the street and then you see a police chief begin an attempt to attack his character, that’s just not the way to operate and we’ve made that clear to everyone,” he said.

This means Nixon believes that Jesse Jackson Sr. and Al Sharpton, who have been making campaign stops in Ferguson, have every right to be heard while the local police at the heart of the case should just remain silent and take whatever abuse is hurled at them.

Sharpton, the perpetrator of the infamous Tawana Brawley hoax and a close ally of President Obama, also weighed in on the release of the video.

“Michael Brown is gone,” he said in St. Louis yesterday. “You can run whatever video you want. He is not on trial. America is on trial!”

Sharpton continued:

“I have never in all my years seen something as offensive and insulting as a police chief releasing a tape of a young man trying to smear him before we even have his funeral.”

However, the more we learn about the nature of the crime and of Brown’s character, the clearer it is to see who should really be on trial: The likes of Al Sharpton and the race-hate industry, whose lies are fueling a vicious war against civil society in Ferguson.

Meanwhile, an autopsy performed by famed pathologist Dr. Michael M. Baden, former chief medical examiner for New York City, determined that Brown was not shot in the back as some have claimed. In particular, the autopsy contradicts the “eye witness” account of one left-wing media darling, Tiffany Mitchell, who claimed on MSNBC that Officer Wilson was pursing Brown as he ran away and that Brown was shot in the back as he fled.

The autopsy report concluded that Brown was shot six times. One bullet penetrated his right eye, proceeding through his face, leaving through his jaw and then entering his collarbone. The final two shots in his head were probably the last ones fired.

Brown, who otherwise appeared to be healthy, would have died as a result of the shooting even if he had been transported immediately to a hospital, Baden said.

“People have been asking: How many times was he shot? This information could have been released on Day 1,” Baden told the New York Times after completing the private four-hour autopsy yesterday. “They don’t do that, even as feelings built up among the citizenry that there was a cover-up. We are hoping to alleviate that.”

Baden stressed that he was not assigning blame for the death or justifying what was done the day of Brown’s death.

But Benjamin L. Crump, an attorney for Brown’s family, tried to use the new forensic evidence to bolster the case that the young man was a victim of police brutality.

“The sheer number of bullets and the way they were scattered all over his body showed this police officer had a brazen disregard for the very people he was supposed to protect in that community,” Crump said. “We want to make sure people understand what this case is about: This case is about a police officer executing a young unarmed man in broad daylight.”

Of course the fact that a suspect was shot repeatedly and all over his body doesn’t necessarily demonstrate “brazen disregard” or that the individual was summarily executed by a police officer. It more likely indicates that the shooter, rightly or wrongly, believed that the suspect posed a danger to his life. And the fact that a suspect was “unarmed” doesn’t necessarily have much probative value in a case in which the individual allegedly tried to gain control of a police officer’s firearm.

Crump covered travel expenses for Baden and an assistant to Missouri, retaining the two for the procedure. Baden waived his customary $10,000 fee, the newspaper reports.

This autopsy and an official county autopsy apparently aren’t enough. Now Eric Holder’s spokesman says the “extraordinary circumstances” — whatever those may be — require that a federal autopsy be conducted. Forty FBI agents have also reportedly gone door-to-door in Ferguson in an attempt to gather evidence in an ongoing civil rights investigation related to the shooting.

And they’ll keep digging until they find evidence that vindicates the mob and the left-wing media and the community organizers from Chicago who have descended on Ferguson in order to make an example of the innocent people who live there.
