DIRTY,DIRTY,DIRTY - Pelosi's husband invested in solar firm weeks before lucrative expansion

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi’s husband bought up to a quarter million dollars of stock in a now financially troubled green energy company just weeks before it announced a major 2014 acquisition that sent stock prices soaring, public records show.

SunEdison told regulators last week that it is eyeing bankruptcy under the weight of $11.7 million in debt. But in late 2014, investors were bullish on the company, which manufactures and operates solar and wind power facilities.

Its 2014 purchase of wind energy company First Wind “further bolstered the reputation of the company,” wrote one market-watcher at the time. “Perhaps unsurprisingly, SunEdison’s stock soared an astounding 29% on news of this acquisition alone.”

Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, had invested just in time. He bought between $100,000 and $250,000 in SunEdison stock on Oct. 24, 2014, according to congressional financial disclosures. The company announced its First Wind acquisition on Nov. 17.

Pelosi’s office did not respond to questions about the timing of the purchase and whether she or her husband had any advance knowledge of the deal.

Pelosi has previously been accused of trading stock based on information gleaned through her official duties. She participated in Visa’s initial public offering as the company fought a House bill to subject credit card companies to increased regulation. The measure failed to pass.

John Kasich Takes $700K From Socialist George Soros

By Lori

Apparently John Kasich will take money from anyone. After finding his campaign unable to finance ads in Utah, Kasich finally got bankrolled $700,000 to keep going — courtesy of none other than George Soros. According to Kasich, he’s just trying to keep Trump below 15 percent in Utah. “Well, Trump is at 10 percent. He’s not at 15 percent; he’s at 10 percent,” Glenn said Monday on The Glenn Beck Program. “And why, Kasich, are your ads aimed at Cruz?” That’s a very good question. Another is why would George Soros would give money to a Republican presidential candidate. As usual, Soros is using his money to rig a preferred outcome — and that preference is not likely to be stopping Donald Trump. “If that was what you were trying to do, you would fund Cruz, you wouldn’t fund Kasich,” Glenn said. “You would fund the guy who actually has a chance of doing it.” Glenn also shared some behind-the-scenes intel on why Kasich is staying in the race. “No matter what happens, he’s not getting out because he thinks that he’s Abraham Lincoln,” Glenn said.

Below is a rush transcript of this segment, it might contain errors: GLENN: George Soros also is giving 700 — or, gave $700,000 to Kasich’s campaign. PAT: Yeah. And the article — this appeared in both CNS News and Breitbart and other places over the weekend, even though it’s mathematically — not just mathematically impossible for Kasich to win, he also has to win eight states before he can be considered at the convention, and that’s not going to happen either. I mean, he’s one for 28 right now. He knows. GLENN: Kasich knows he’s not — here’s the behind the scenes: Talked to several people over the weekend who have spoken to John Kasich. Some of them are his friends. And I’ve said, “What are you doing? What is happening? You’re a friend with John Kasich. Have you talked to him?” “Oh, yes, I have. Yes, I have.” “What does he say?” “He’s not getting out. He thinks he’s Abraham Lincoln.” PAT: Good golly. GLENN: Those are his friends. PAT: I know Abraham Lincoln. You’re no Abraham Lincoln. GLENN: Abraham Lincoln, so he went to the convention, and it was a contested convention, and he won in like the ninth vote. And that’s how we have Abraham Lincoln: He won in the ninth vote. John Kasich thinks — he’s not getting out. No matter what happens, he’s not getting out because he thinks that he’s Abraham Lincoln. PAT: So just — it was a simple search of Kasich’s campaign donation list, and they found that the Soros fund management is the sixth highest individual donor with $202,700. GLENN: What does that tell you? PAT: Seventh largest donor is the Ducane HEP Family Office, with 150. The super PAC side, Kasich’s New Day for America received 150,000 from Stanley HEP Druckenmiller, who operates the Ducane family office. All of these, you know, employed by the Soros Fund Management Team. So he’s — all together, if you add it up, it’s $700,000 from Soros people. Soros and his surrogates giving to the Kasich campaign. What is that about? GLENN: Soros — so you know, Kasich couldn’t run ads in Utah. Suddenly, he finds enough money to run ads in Utah. And he says, “Hey, I’m just trying to keep Trump under 15 percent.” Well, Trump is at 10 percent. He’s not at 15 percent; he’s at 10 percent. And why, Kasich, are your ads aimed at Cruz? PAT: Yeah, you would think they would be aimed at Trump. GLENN: He is going after Cruz, and he’s being a surrogate for Donald Trump. Now, I don’t know how the Soros thing works and what Soros — what game Soros is playing, other than trying to keep Cruz out. PAT: Yeah. And they’re saying he’s trying to keep Trump out. I doubt that. GLENN: Who, Soros is? I don’t think — PAT: I think it’s likely he’s trying to keep Cruz out. GLENN: If that was what you were trying to do, you would fund Cruz, you wouldn’t fund Kasich. You would fund the guy who actually has a chance of doing it. PAT: Yeah. GLENN: I don’t know, but I know this: Soros like the imams over in Iran, like the — the people over in Europe that are — what is it, The Coming Insurrection people, like Occupy Wall Street, like Black Lives Matter, they all want one thing, and that is chaos.

We’ve had so many years of this mess! It’s one tiring scandal after the next coming out of the government? So, then – WHY Hillary? Seriously – WHY? Don’t Americans want change?

The Daily Caller reports – More than $9 million of Department of State money has been funneled through the Peace Corps to a nonprofit foundation started and run by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The Department of State funded a Peace Corps program created by Dr. Vanessa Kerry and officials from both agencies, records show. The Peace Corps then awarded the money without competition to a nonprofit Kerry created for the program.

Initially, the Peace Corps awarded Kerry’s group — now called Seed Global Health — with a three-year contract worth $2 million of State Department money on Sept. 10, 2012, documents show. Her father was then the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, which oversees both the Department of State and the Peace Corps.

Some folks are born to wave the flag, others are born to be the daughter of an anti-war traitor senator collecting six figures from an organization funded by the part of government that daddy happens to run.

More than $9 million of Department of State money has been funneled through the Peace Corps to a nonprofit foundation started and run by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.

Seed secured a four-year extension in September 2015, again without competition. This time, the Peace Corps gave the nonprofit $6.4 million provided by the Department of State while John Kerry was secretary of state.

What did this mean for Vanessa?

Kerry drew a salary from Seed for the first time in 2014. She was the only officer listed on the nonprofit’s 990 tax form to receive compensation — some $140,000 for a reported 30 hours per week.

By this time, daddy was Secretary of State. Which was certainly convenient. It’s also interesting when you have an organization with only one compensated officer.
What does Kerry’s organization do? It exploits student debt to recruit volunteers.

Recognizing that many US health professionals face financial barriers to service, Seed offers the only US loan repayment program for international service. The average US physician graduates from medical school today with more than $170,000 in educational debt; other applicants may have home mortgages or other obligations that would make a GHSP assignment impossible or difficult to accept. Seed believes that debt should not be a barrier to public service and provides up to $30,000 in needs-based assistance for each year served.

You know, debt for people who unlike Vanessa Kerry weren’t born with a silver spoon in their mouths. So they get to do “volunteer” slave labor.

Vanessa Kerry was last in the headlines due to her Iran link.

DIRTY, DIRTY, SLIMLY DEMOCRATS -Look Who’s Getting That Bank Settlement Cash

Tens of millions of dollars disguised as ‘consumer relief’ are going to liberal political groups

Imagine if the president of the United States forced America’s biggest banks to funnel hundreds of millions—and potentially billions—of dollars to the corporations and lobbyists who supported his agenda, all while calling it “Main Street Relief.” The public outcry would rightly be deafening. Yet the Obama administration has used a similar strategy to enrich its political allies, advance leftist pet projects, and protect its legacy—and hardly anyone has noticed.

The administration’s multiyear campaign against the banking industry has quietly steered money to organizations and politicians who are working to ensure liberal policy and political victories at every level of government. The conduit for this funding is the Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Working Group, a coalition of federal and state regulators and prosecutors created in 2012 to “identify, investigate, and prosecute instances of wrongdoing” in the residential mortgage-backed securities market. In conjunction with the Justice Department, the RMBS Working Group has reached multibillion-dollar settlements with essentially every major bank in America.

The most recent came in April when the Justice Department announced a $5.1 billion settlement with Goldman Sachs. In February Morgan Stanley agreed to a $3.2 billion settlement. Previous targets were Citigroup ($7 billion), J.P. Morgan Chase ($13 billion), and Bank of America, which in 2014 reached the largest civil settlement in American history at $16.65 billion. Smaller deals with other banks have also been announced.

Combined, the banks must divert well over $11 billion into “consumer relief,” which is supposed to benefit homeowners harmed during the Great Recession. Yet it is unknown how much, if any, of the banks’ settlement money will find its way to individual homeowners. Instead, a substantial portion is allocated to private, nonprofit organizations drawn from a federally approved list. Some groups on the list—Catholic Charities, for instance—are relatively nonpolitical. Others—La Raza, the National Urban League, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and more—are anything but.

This is a handout to the administration’s allies. Many of these groups engage in voter registration, community organizing and lobbying on liberal policy priorities at every level of government. They also provide grants to other liberal groups not eligible for payouts under the settlements. Thanks to the Obama administration, and the fungibility of money, the settlements’ beneficiaries can now devote hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to these activities.

The settlements also give banks a financial incentive to fund these groups. Most of the deals give double credit or more against the settlement amount for every dollar in “donations.” Bank of America’s donation list—the only bank to disclose exactly where it sends its money—shows how this benefits liberal groups. The bank has so far given at least $1.15 million to the National Urban League, which counts as if it were $2.6 million against the bank’s settlement. Similarly, $1.5 million to La Raza takes $3.5 million off the total amount of “consumer relief” owed by the bank. There are scores of other examples.

Our analysis of over 80 beneficiaries from Bank of America’s settlement shows that they received, on average, more than 10% of their 2015 budgets from the bank. When other bank checks are added, the amount funneled to these organizations is guaranteed to rise. And the banks have multiple years to pay their total penalties, meaning some liberal interest groups can count on additional funding for years—and election cycles—to come.

As part of their “consumer relief” penalties, Bank of America and J.P. Morgan Chase must also pay a minimum $75 million to Community Development Financial Institutions—taxpayer-funded groups propped up by the Obama administration as an alternative to payday lenders. “Housing Counseling Agencies” also get at least $30 million. This essentially circumvents Congress’s recent decision to cut $43 million in federal funds routed to these groups through the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The politicians who negotiate the settlements as part of the RMBS Working Group have also directed money to their supporters and states. Illinois’s Democratic attorney general Lisa Madigan announced she had secured $22.5 million from February’s Morgan Stanley deal for her state’s debt-ridden pension funds—a blatant payout to public unions. The deals with J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup yielded a further $344 million for both “consumer relief” and direct payments to pension funds.

New York hit the jackpot too. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, also a Democrat and chairman of the RMBS Working Group, arranged for Morgan Stanley to fork over $400 million to New York nonprofits and $150 million to the state.

Despite the best efforts of a few principled legislators late last year, Congress missed an opportunity to amend the Justice Department’s funding bill to stop further handouts. Lawmakers now have another opportunity as Congress enters budget negotiation for fiscal year 2017. Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R., Va.) introduced a bill in April that would prevent government officials from enforcing settlements that funnel money to third parties, and it needs to gain wider traction with his colleagues. The political shakedowns disguised as public service must end.

DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY - Feds pouring Muslim migrants into Rand Paul's hometown

The same resettlement agency that is funneling Syrian Muslims into Sen. Bernie Sanders’ state of Vermont and also into Nevada is now delivering them to Sen. Rand Paul’s hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

WND reported last week on the plans to seed the small town of Rutland, Vermont, with 100 Syrian Muslims while another 75 are being sent to Reno, Nevada, and dozens more in Missoula, Montana. WND has previously reported on plans to bring up to 5,000 Syrians to Michigan and hundreds more to Idaho.

The feds have been scouting for new places to bring the Syrians including in northwest Arkansas and in Ithaca, New York.

Now the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, or USCRI – the same volunteer agency that is working in Rutland and Reno – has called a surprise meeting for 5 p.m. Friday to announce plans to bring 40 Syrians to Bowling Green, Kentucky, in October.

“That’s very little notice for a public meeting to be held on a Friday evening,” said Ann Corcoran, who follows the refugee movement at Refugee Resettlement Watch.

City goes from no Muslims to 10% Muslim in 15 years

Bowling Green is not new to Muslim refugees. The city has been transformed over the past decade from a typical Middle America town that had no Muslims to one that now has more than 7,000 who account for at least 10 percent of the city’s population. It had no mosques 15 years ago and now has several including a large Islamic Center. The Islamic refugees have come from 23 countries, mostly from Bosnia, Russia, Burma, Iraq and now Syria.

“They’ve had the same federal contractor, USCRI, in Bowling Green for a long time,” Corcoran added. “We have a large archive on Bowling Green because they have had many problems there over the years with Iraqi refugees. Now Syrian Muslims will join the Iraqi Muslims in Rand Paul-land.”

Make YOUR voice heard! Sign the petition to impose a temporary halt to all Muslim immigration to our country

Paul’s office told WND he is not in favor of the Syrian refugee dumps in Kentucky or anywhere else under the current vetting process being used by President Obama.

“Senator Paul believes we must pass the SECURE Act,” said Sergio Gor, the senator’s press secretary. “This legislation would suspend visa issuance for countries with a high risk of terrorism and impose a waiting period for background checks on visa issuance from other countries until the American people can be assured terrorists cannot enter the country through our immigration and visa system.”

Paul was much more outspoken against refugee resettlement three years ago, before he contemplated a run for president.

Paul softens his stance

In a June 2013 article in the Huffington Post, the senator said the U.S. should be skeptical of accepting refugees, from the Mideast in particular, because they take welfare and could plan attacks on American soil.

“We have had refugees attack us here. Ninety-five (percent) of our 70,000 Iraqi refugees are on food stamps, majority are in government housing, 46 percent are unemployed,” he said. “It’s one thing to have a big heart and invite people to our country, and if you do it in a small fashion, the churches and the people take care of them; that’s one thing. But like in my town in particular, they bring ’em in and there is someone whose job and expertise is to sign them up for welfare as soon as they get here.”

Since he decided to run for president, he has been much more guarded in the substance and tone of his comments about refugees.

Pamela Geller wrote the book on how to prevent creeping Shariah from entering your community in “Stop the Islamization of America.”

It was just last year that Americans learned a terrorist, Tashfeen Malik, had entered the U.S. from Saudi Arabia not as a refugee but on a fiancée visa. She, along with her husband, Syed Farook, killed 14 people at an office Christmas party in San Bernardino. And two of the jihadists who pulled off the bloody attack on Paris that killed 130 people in November 2015 had entered Europe as “refugees” carrying Syrian passports.

Head of resettlement agency paid salary of $289,192

The Syrians are being brought to Bowling Green by USCRI, a nonprofit headed by Lavinia Limon, the former head of the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement under Bill Clinton. Limon made the transition from government bureaucrat to government contractor at USCRI, where she now earns an annual salary of $289,192, according to USCRI’s 2013 IRS form 990. She also managed to get a relative, Peter Limon, a plum job at the nonprofit, which pays him $139,869.

USCRI, like the other eight volunteer agencies, gets paid nearly $2,000 in federal grant money for every refugee it brings to America.

Bowling Green has a troublesome history with Muslim refugees. Two Iraqi nationals who were resettled as refugees in the city in 2009 were caught in 2011 sending military supplies and other material support to al-Qaida in Iraq. They were eventually convicted and are serving long prison terms.

President Obama is in the midst of a “surge” in Syrian refugee resettlement, seeking to fulfill his promise to the United Nations that he will admit 10,000 Syrians into the U.S. by the end of the current fiscal year on Sept. 30. To reach that goal, he will need to bring in an average of 358 Syrians per week.

And the pipeline from Syria to the U.S. will continue even into the next fiscal year, officials with the State Department have said.

More than 97 percent of the Syrians resettled in the U.S. since the start of the Syrian civil war have been Sunni Muslim. Only 1 percent have been Christian, and of the 499 Syrians who have entered the U.S. since the “surge” began last month, not a single one has been Christian.

Christians are the most persecuted of all religious groups in Syria, hunted down and killed by the Islamic State, al-Nusra Front and other Sunni groups, but the administration has shown zero interest in offering them a safe haven in the United States.

Trump blasts Hillary on refugee stance

Hillary Clinton has promised to go even further with the resettlement of Syrian Muslim refugees selected by the United Nations.

Clinton wants to increase Syrian refugees from 10,000 to 65,000, an increase of over 500 percent. Donald Trump blasted her earlier this week saying she could not claim to care about women and women’s rights while advocating for a radical increase in Syrian immigration. Most Muslims coming from Syria are Shariah-compliant, meaning their women wear the veil in public and their husbands are allowed to beat them for disobedience in accordance with the teachings of Muhammad in the Quran (see Sura 4:34).

The Bowling Green International Center plans to help resettle refugees as a subcontractor working under USCRI. They will initially bring a group of 40 from Syria in October, according to the Bowling Green Daily News.

“A plan to accept Syrian refugees in Bowling Green is raising concerns,” the newspaper reported. “In response, the organizations involved have scheduled a town hall to address any questions.”

Bowling Green residents will be told vetting is airtight

International Center Director Albert Mbanfu told the local newspaper he hopes to address concerns about the screening process and explain how these refugees come to the United States.

“My objective is that people will leave this town hall with a sound knowledge on how refugee resettlement works,” he said.

Mbanfu said the federal government would never put the country at risk of potential terrorist infiltrators.

City Commissioner Melinda Hill is the only elected leader who has voiced concerns, calling the resettlement risky.

“This is not against the people,” Hill said. “Our federal government has not put in place a good vetting process.”

Mayor Bruce Wilkerson and City Commissioner Joe Denning declined to comment, citing “unfamiliarity with the topic,” the Daily News reported.

Another city commissioner, Sue Parrigin, said she sees refugees as a way for employers to fill jobs as the baby boomers grow old and exit the workforce, leaving a dearth of workers in the younger generations that have had smaller families. This is the exact same argument that European governments have given as to why they have imported so many Muslim migrants over the decades.

“This is for the community to come out,” Parrigin said. “The community deserves to come out and be heard.”

Of course, members of the community will be allowed to air their concerns, but none of their concerns will be addressed. As the government has shown in other cities, like Missoula and Rutland, these town-hall meetings are for show only. President Obama has said he will continue importing Sunni Muslims from the jihadist hotbed of Syria regardless of whether state or local leaders oppose him on the issue.

Town-hall meetings were also held in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and in Helena, Montana, and scores of other cities. In all of these places where citizens voiced concerns, the numbers were initially downplayed only to be adjusted upward later.

For example, volunteer agency World Relief told residents of Spartanburg they would get less than 60 refugees and most of them would be from Africa, not Syria. Now, that story has changed and the Spartanburg area has been targeted for 120 refugees, most of whom will be from Syria.

But citizens can and should attend such meetings and demand as much information as possible, says Corcoran. They should also demand to see the R&P Abstract prepared by the federal contractor agency.

Despite what Mbanfu says, WND has reported numerous times that the government has imported terrorists, through the refugee program and other immigration programs, and Mbanfu need not look past his own hometown for proof. “Lax background checks were to blame” for the two Iraqi refugee terrorists infiltrating Kentucky in 2009, ABC News reported.

But these are the kind of outright lies and omissions the resettlement agencies tell concerned citizens at their town-hall meetings.

If the U.S. had trouble vetting refugees from Iraq, where it had occupied the country and had access to all law enforcement and intelligence records, how can it vet people claiming to be fleeing Syria?

FBI Director James Comey admitted last year before Congress that vetting Syrians is impossible. The president and his State Department have focused instead on the humanitarian aspect of helping widows and orphans.

But concerns include more than just terrorism. There’s also the issue of cost. Refugees, unlike most other immigrants, qualify for a full slate of welfare benefits on day one of their arrival. Those age 65 and over immediately receive Social Security benefits and 91 percent of refugees from the Middle East receive food stamps, according to the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Congress approved Obama’s $1.1 trillion omnibus spending package in December, and it fully funded the president’s expanded refugee program, which will spend about $1.2 billion to resettle 85,000 foreign refugees from all countries in fiscal 2016. Another 100,000 are slated for arrival in 2017. That figure — $1.2 billion — does not include the cost of welfare benefits nor does it include the cost of educating refugee children.

PHOTO: Here’s The Stunning Piece Of Paper That Proves The Colorado Vote Was “Rigged”

Presidential candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump has received much criticism lately for calling the Colorado primary vote rigged — but Trump is right, and there is evidence to prove it.

Before the primary even began, delegates met and passed around a resolution which forbade delegates to vote for Trump for president or vice president because of a list of arbitrary reasons.

Social media users have gotten a hold of the resolution, and are going crazy over it.

The resolution states that “Donald Trump is not a Republican, Donald Trump is a demagogue, Donald Trump would destroy the Western alliance which is the basis of American security,Donald Trump would destroy the system of international trade…” and continued on and on and on.

Spoiler alert! Kasich out to 'deny Trump nomination'

In an email to supporters Wednesday, the wife of Republican candidate John Kasich confirmed what many political observers have long suspected: A chief goal of the Kasich campaign is to deny GOP front-runner Donald Trump the party’s nomination.

“Friend, I’m going to be honest with you,” states the email blast from Kasich’s wife, Karen. “The stakes are high and it’s critical that we all pitch in to help John continue securing delegates and deny Trump the nomination.”

Then Mrs. Kasich assures supporters that her husband is running a “positive campaign.”

“I’m so proud of the positive campaign John has run,” she writes. “It’s refreshing to have a candidate who’s focused on offering common-sense solutions to our challenges rather than taking advantage of people’s fears and very real concerns about America’s future.

“We have a choice to make. As John said yesterday, there are two paths we can take. I’m choosing the path that offers a positive vision for America’s future. Will you join us?”

Noting that the New York Republican primary is only one week away, Mrs. Kasich promises: “[W]e have a real chance at grabbing some delegates.”

John Kasich has repeatedly insisted he’s not in the race to block Trump.

Rather, he claims his eye is on only one thing: winning the White House.

“I want to make something clear to people. I’m not in this to try to stop somebody,” Mr. Kasich told Fox News’ Chris Wallace on March 20. “I’m in this to tell people about my experience, my record, my vision, and my ability to bring – bring people together and to be a successful president of the United States. This is beginning to deteriorate into some sort of a political science class with a bunch of pundits trying to, you know, play a parlor game. I’m not interested in that. …

“I am interested in improving this country and being a good president and that’s precisely why I’m running. And people are beginning to understand my vision and my message because finally people are beginning to allow me to be heard.”

Kasich proved to be the anti-Trump vote and won the primary in his homes state of Ohio on March 15 with 46.8 percent of the vote to Trump’s 35.6 percent. Cruz received 13 percent.

“I will not take the low road to the highest office in the land,” Kasich said in his Ohio victory speech. He accused Trump of creating a “toxic environment” and said the GOP front-runners tactics are “not how we fix America.”

Just before the Ohio primary, Kasich told reporters his victory would increase the likelihood of a contested convention in July if a candidate doesn’t reach 1,237 delegates and win the GOP nomination by then.

“I’m not running to block anybody, but the math is real,” Kasich said.

But just last weekend, Kasich helped Trump block Cruz from sweeping delegate selections in Michigan.

“The Kasich campaign defended aiding Trump on the grounds that Cruz deserved it as punishment for trying to scoop up too many delegates,” Fox News reported Monday. “But whether it was bad blood, pique or part of a larger strategy, Kasich’s part in any anti-Trump strategy is increasingly in doubt.”

Kasich doesn’t appear to have a clear path to winning many more delegates in the remaining 16 states: New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Indiana, Nebraska, West Virginia, Oregon, Washington, California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota.

As it stands, Trump has 743 delegates. Cruz has 545. And Kasich has 143.

Uncovered Mailing Address Reveals Carly Fiorina to Nude Melania Trump Ad

A super PAC that launched a smear ad on Melania Trump in Utah has been linked to former GOP presidential candidate and Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.

According to Breitbart, the Make America Awesome PAC, which ran the smear ad in Utah about Melania’s nude modeling, is run by political consultant Liz Mair.

Unfortunately, Mair isn’t that bright. On Make America Awesome’s website, it tells potential donors, “If you would like to donate by mail, send checks to: Make America Awesome PO Box 26141 Alexandria, VA 22313.”

Problem: P.O. Box 26141 is also the mailing address for Carly for America, the official organization for Fiorina’s former presidential campaign. It’s since been re-purposed as a general-issue political action committee.

Mair’s advertisement touched off a Twitter war between the Cruz and Trump campaigns over each candidate’s wives, during which Cruz has vigorously accused Trump of playing dirty. Fiorina, for her part, has been an ardent supporter of Cruz’s campaign these last few weeks, linking the original smear ad back to Cruz for the first time.
The smear advertisement against Melania (it’s disgusting and underhanded enough that we’re not going to show it here; I assure you that you can find it easily enough on Facebook if you’re so inclined) also managed to incur the wrath of some liberals who felt that it was “shaming” Melania.

Mair was open about the fact that she didn’t actually believe in the ad’s content, she just wanted to win.
Lovely. Of course, you, loyal reader, could argue that Mair paid for the ads; can we really prove collaboration between Fiorina and Mair?

While we can’t definitively prove it, we can come pretty close. See, Make America Awesome’s filings with the FEC show that, on its own, the PAC doesn’t have enough money to Make America Even Slightly Different Than Before. It only lists seven donors who gave over $200, in 2015-16, for a total of only $2,000. (That will pay for the post office box, but not a whole lot more.)

Fiorina made a bold stand for women’s issues during the campaign, pointing out Hillary Clinton’s “war on women” on multiple occasions. It’s a shame to see her, acting as a surrogate for Ted Cruz, maligning Donald Trump’s wife as a sort of modern-day Jezebel to get votes.
In one simple act, both Mair and Fiorina have thrown away whatever scruples and decency they may have had. If it turns out a desperate Ted Cruz is behind this, too, we can only say the same for him.

Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you agree this smear campaign is disgraceful.
