Coup d’etat Underway in White House

CapitalThere it is: Another inflammatory headline from an Internet blogger. You’ve see hundreds, or even thousands of those. All of them scream for your attention, and yet most of them offer only meaningless diatribes, or scant details of vague conspiracies about the impending destruction of your nation, or the world. It’s a normal tactic that the news business has employed throughout history, so not too many people even raise an eyebrow until they see the mushroom clouds any longer. If that’s your view, and who could blame you, you’ll probably shrug-off this one too. Before you click through, however, on your way to the next blaring headline, I’d like you to know the facts behind my screeching claim: Barack Obama is threatening to effectively dissolve your US Constitution, and nobody in Washington DC seems inclined to do the first thing about it. The moment for the American people to engage is now, if they value their country. The President is preparing to overthrow the Constitution, and with it, the United States of America.

If you listened to Mark Levin on Tuesday evening, you might get some idea of the threat now posed against this republic. Barack Obama is sending out his hoodlums in government and media to talk about a “default.” Let me explain to readers the absolute facts about “default.” The United States government takes in approximately $200 billion in revenues every month. It must make monthly payments on its debts, including principal and interest, in the amount of roughly $20 billion. Therefore, it is mathematically impossible for the US government to default at its current level of debt and income because its actual income exceeds its factual, legally-binding obligations. After the debt obligations are satisfied, the remainder, roughly $190 billion, can be taken and applied to government spending priorities. Naturally, those priorities include funding the military, veterans, and Social Security.

The only way a default can happen under our current situation is that if the President illegally and unconstitutionally directs the Secretary of the Treasury to withhold payments of debt obligations. If the President does this, he will be violating the law that binds him, he will be exceeding his constitutional authority, and he will be committing flagrantly an act of economic sabotage and terrorism against the American people. There is no recourse but for the American people in such a case to oust the President, at first by legal means, and to oust likewise all of those who give him legal shelter.

As it stands, the Republicans in Congress are shaking in their boots. It is time to face down the dictator, and most of them haven’t the guts. That’s where your part in this battle for the constitution comes into play. They must hold. They must not fold. They must bring articles of impeachment, or the would-be tyrant must relent. These are the only viable answers to this dilemma. Everything else will result in the death of the Republic, either in revolutionary strife or in permanent despotism.

For those of you who clicked into this blog thinking you would read another ludicrous claim, let me assure you that there is nothing remarkable here that the globe has not seen over human history, many hundreds or even thousands of times: We have devolved into a culture and a society that no longer respects the rule of law, and no longer demands its leaders comply with it. We have arrived at this point because when we should have spoken up in the name of law and in the name of justice, we instead deferred the fight for some future date. That day is now. Any further deferment will merely accelerate the collapse. We must not surrender, we must not give in, and we must make the Republicans fight while they are able, by every means at their disposal.

If they fail, or falter, and if Obama will not blink, there will be only us. At present, Obama hides behind the trappings of his office and a semi-legitimate claim to authority. If he exceeds his authority, all bets are off. His claim to authority is at such a point completely bogus. We must demand his removal. We must demand the House draft articles of impeachment for his extra-constitutional actions. We must demand the Senate try him for his treason.

That’s it. That’s all there is to this story. Our republic’s constitution stands on the verge of a coup d’etat, with a President intent upon destroying it, with only the weak-kneed Republicans and us to defend it. Tonight, as Senators and Representatives dance to Obama’s tune, we must change the music. We have no choice any longer, because if we lose the constitution, we will have lost everything indespensable on this Earth that was made by men.

Dem congressman’s chief staffers busted in voter fraud scheme

by Michael DorstewitzJoe-Garcia

Top staffers of U.S. Rep. Joe Garcia of Miami Beach have been implicated in an elaborate and massive voter fraud scheme that reportedly occurred during the 2012 primary election. Garcia is a Democrat.

Rep. Joe Garcia — clueless. Photo credit: www.voxxi.com
Jeffery Garcia, the congressman’s chief of staff allegedly participated in a “sophisticated scheme to manipulate last year’s primary elections by submitting hundreds of fraudulent absentee-ballot requests,” the Miami Herald reported.

The chief of staff, who is not related to the congressman, also worked on the campaign of Rep. Patrick Murphy, another Democrat who narrowly defeated incumbent Allen West last year in a controversial election.

“I’m shocked and disappointed about this,” said Garcia, who added he was unaware of the scheme. “This is something that hit me from left field. Until today, I had no earthly idea this was going on.”

Also implicated were Giancarlo Sopo, the congressman’s communications director; and John Estes, his 2012 campaign manager.

The fraud, as it turns out, was never completed as election computers caught the scheme and threw up a red flag. Florida is a state requiring photo ID to cast a ballot in an election.

Garcia asked his “staff to fully cooperate with any investigation.”

He added, “I believe that while this was an ill-conceived effort, it was meant to expand voter access.”

That’s the scary part — it was meant to expand voter access. My question is, to whom was it meant to expand access? Dead people? felons? Out-of-state residents? Undocumented immigrants?

And that is a fundamental difference between Democrats and the GOP. Democrats would have anyone — with or without a heartbeat — cast a ballot. Republicans jealously cherish that right, so much so that they don’t want their vote diluted by those who have neither business nor right to cast a ballot.

Obama Campaign Caught In Major NC Vote Fraud Scheme

fraud</aNorth Carolina’s Civitas Institute has revealed that the North Carolina State Board of Elections and the Obama campaign conspired to register at least 11,000 people via the internet in violation of state law. This has been confirmed through records requests filed with all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. The counting is not yet complete.
North Carolina does not allow online voting, but according to Civitas, SBE staff authorized an Obama campaign website, Gottaregister.com, to use a web-based registration program. The SBE’s chief lawyer responded to the charge with a plainly disingenuous 1984-newspeak answer:
Wright repeatedly denied that the SBE allowed online voter registration, insisting that it was “web-based voter registration”[ii] instead, as if there could be a “web-based” process that wasn’t online.
The technology from Allpoint Voter Services uses remote-control pens to transmit “signatures” over the Internet, according to techpresident.com[iii]. After entering voter information in an online form, the citizen “signs” it with a stylus or a finger. The Allpoint technology records the signature and then transmits it to one of two autopens – one in California, the other in Nevada[iv]. One of the pens transcribes the signature on to a paper voter registration form. Allpoint then mails the documents to local election boards – or is supposed to, a point we’ll come back to.
To say this is not “online” registration but “web-based” is like saying a certain vehicle is not a car, it’s an automobile. The point of having a “wet signature” – one in ink – is to provide a universally accepted way proving that a prospective voter is affirming in person all the facts on the form. To have an auto pen inserted at one point in this long computerized process is a far different thing. Even the Obama campaign called it online voter registration. Because, no matter how you twist words around, that’s what it is.

DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY - JESSE JACKSON JR - FOR SEVEN YEARS MR JACKSON BETRAYED THE VERY PEOPLE HE INSPIRED BY STEALING THEIR CAMPAGN DONATIONS TO FINANCE HIS EXTRAVAGANT LIFE STYLE.

Former Chicago congressman Jackson Jr. enters the U.S. District Federal Courthouse in WashingtonWith moist eyes and soft voices, former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife pleaded guilty to federal charges on Wednesday related to years of using campaign funds for personal expenses that included purchases of Michael Jackson memorabilia and a Rolex watch…

“I used monies that should have been used for campaign purposes,” Jackson, 47, acknowledged to the judge. When Wilkins asked if Jackson realized that the guilty plea meant giving up the right to a trial, he responded: “I have no interest in wasting the taxpayers’ time or money…”

Well, that’s new.

And what did Jackson buy with those campaign funds?

According to court documents, Jackson’s campaign credit cards were used for $582,772 in personal expenditures. Jackson’s purchases included a gold-plated men’s Rolex watch costing more than $43,000 and almost $10,000 in children’s furniture.

As part of the plea agreement, Jackson is supposed to repay the $750,000 in improperly used funds. Prosecutors said they would seize and sell many of the pieces of memorabilia and other items Jackson purchased and apply the proceeds to the debt.

The items include two hats belonging to the late singer Michael Jackson costing more than $8,000; a $5,000 football signed by U.S. presidents; and memorabilia involving the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and martial artist Bruce Lee.

I’m just picturing Jesse Jackson Jr. relaxing at home, wearing Michael Jackson’s fedora while gazing at his signed Bruce Lee poster or whatever.

And why did Jackson do this? Michelle Singletary at WaPo tries to compare it to regular old credit-card debt incurred by status-seekers who buy a bunch of crap they don’t need. Which is… oh, what’s the word? Stupid. It’s a stupid comparison. Jackson didn’t borrow that money, he stole it. He’s not a victim of our materialistic society. He’s responsible for his own actions. He saw some crap he wanted, he saw a big pile of money just sitting there, and he did what he wanted with it.

He just assumed he’d get away with it, because… well, why wouldn’t he assume that?

I’m skeptical that he’ll actually go to jail, but at least he’s admitted guilt. Now he can start his comeback. Let the inspiring story of personal redemption begin.

Medicaid Fraud in the Billions

Written by Bob Adelmann

The response to the admission by Deputy Director for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Penny Thompson, made in September before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), that payments made by the federal government to New York’s state-run development centers were “excessive and unacceptable,” was simple and to the point: those overpayments were “inexcusable” and “exceeded the entire Medicaid budgets of 14 states” and added that “the failure … suggests an institutional failure and a pattern of irresponsible actions that have cost the taxpayers billions.”

The amount, just in New York, is estimated by Issa’s committee to be in excess of $15 billion, equivalent to $1.9 million per patient per year!

Using the bureaucratic shuffle which Thompson has no doubt refined in her 20 years as a top-level bureaucrat for Medicare and Medicaid, she admitted:

The growth of the daily Medicaid reimbursement rate for [New York] State’s developmental centers has significantly outpaced those of privately operated developmental centers and New York claimed significantly more for the State-run developmental center services than its actual costs. (emphasis added)

The daily rate for a Medicaid beneficiary to reside in a developmental center grew from $195 per day in 1985 to $4,116 in 2009, vastly outgrowing the Medicaid daily rate for private developmental centers. (emphasis added)

Simply put, bureaucrats in New York have been milking the system for decades, but Thompson claims she just found about it a few months ago. Here’s more from her report to Issa’s committee:

CMS did not begin working with New York to address the situation fully until 2010. Since then, CMS has been working with the State to understand the circumstances around the inflated rate and more fully address this problem.

The problem began back in 1994 when New York State set up the reimbursement rules, with the approval of Thompson’s agency. But there were enough loopholes and undefined parameters to drive a 100-passenger train through, and sure enough, New York took maximum advantage of them. Concluded Thompson:

The Medicaid payments made to New York for the developmental centers were excessive. CMS is working to correct the payments to New York and to improve CMS’ approval and monitoring processes to detect excessive payments more quickly and to prevent excessive payments from being made in the first place.

Issa’s committee was aware that there was massive fraud taking place in the Medicaid program, a federal program financed with taxpayer monies but run by the states. Back in April his staff prepared a report entitled “Uncovering Waste, Fraud and Abuse in the Medicaid Program” which examined three cases of such fraud, New York being just one of them. The numbers are incomprehensibly large:

James Mehmet, a former chief state investigator of Medicaid fraud and abuse in New York City, believes that at least 10% of Medicaid dollars are lost on fraudulent claims, while another 20% to 30% consist of abuse, or services that were delivered but that were unnecessary.

Waste, fraud, and abuse in New York’s Medicaid home-based health services [alone] are rampant. A Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General’s (IG) audit, for example, estimates that between January 2004 and December 2006, New York City improperly claimed over $275 million in Medicaid funds for personal care services. A second IG audit found that New York improperly claimed $207 million for rehabilitative home care services provided between January 2004 and December 2007…

Unfortunately, these three cases demonstrate just a tiny fraction of the instances where daily occurrences of Medicaid waste, fraud, and abuse occur…

In May the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services explained how the scam worked in New York:

Developmental center payment rates are set using a complex methodology detailed in the State’s Medicaid State plan. The rate is currently calculated by using a starting point that the State describes as “total reimbursable operating costs,” which includes the prior year’s total reimbursable operating costs, a volume variance adjustment, and a trend factor increase.

Total reimbursable operating costs do not reflect the State’s actual costs. The rate-setting reimbursement methodology for the developmental centers was originally approved in January 1986, retroactive to April 1984.

And as the scam developed over time, additional changes favoring increased reimbursement demands from the state were developed, and approved, by Thompson’s agency:

Since then, the State has received CMS approval for more than 35 State plan amendments related to this methodology…

Specifically, the growth of the daily Medicaid reimbursement rate for the developmental centers has significantly outpaced those of both State-operated and privately operated ICFs—from $195 per day in SFY 1985 to $4,116 per day in SFY 2009, which is the equivalent of $1.5 million per year for one Medicaid beneficiary. This rate is more than nine times the average rate for all other ICFs for the same period. (emphasis added)

This kind of fraud has been rampant for years, but most of the blame for such “fraud, abuse and waste” has been blamed on everyone BUT the states’ Medicaid administrators. David Murphy, a fraud specialist and professor at Lynchburg College in Virginia, noted in July that everyone had his hand in the honey pot – everyone except the agencies themselves. Fraud involved:

• Billing errors

• Fraudulent claims

• Improper private-pay payments, and

• Counterfeit prescription drugs.

Not one word about the agencies involved, however. Said Murphy, “Medical fraud is committed everywhere, by just about everyone.”

Lawrence Huntoon, MD, a board-certified neurologist from Buffalo, New York, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, reviewed the statement made by Thompson and concluded:

Now we have indisputable evidence that government itself is a major source of fraud in government-run medical programs.

WHO IS THE BIGGEST OUTSOURCER OF JOBS IN THE UNITED STATES - OUR OWN PRESIDENT BARAK HUSEEN OBAMA

Republicans are turning the tables on the Obama campaign, launching an aggressive effort to cast the president as the “outsourcer in chief” in response to Democrats labeling Mitt Romney an “outsourcing pioneer.”
The belated counter-attack comes weeks after President Obama’s campaign seized on a Washington Post story examining how Romney’s former company Bain Capital invested in firms that provided outsourcing services like call centers.
As it happens, the Republican National Committee on Tuesday pointed to a new Post story — this one examining Obama’s “outsourcing” record — as the GOP unveiled a website that outlines in fine detail how federal dollars under the Obama administration funded foreign projects.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, who traveled to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tuesday for a press conference shortly before Obama arrived to speak at a community college, told Fox News that Republicans are “getting aggressive” with this message.
“We’re going to talk about Barack Obama’s record,” he said.
The new website, Obamanomics Outsourced, includes a map with pop-up details about the administration’s foreign-tied investments. It also includes a breakdown of myriad projects funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars, which the RNC says amounts to outsourcing.
“Over his four years in office, Obama promised that he would focus on creating ‘jobs that pay well and can’t be outsourced,'” the site says. “However, as he racked up trillions in new debt, billions of dollars did go to create jobs that were outsourced or spent overseas. Whether it is electric cars made in Finland or solar panels in Mexico, taxpayers would be astonished to learn that their hard-earned money went abroad for jobs that weren’t created in the United States.”
The website cites anecdotes of alleged “outsourcing” around the globe, though many of these cases are a bit of a gray area.
The RNC pointed to money that went to Fisker Automotive, which is producing a luxury electric sports car in Finland. FactCheck.org, though, says that while the firm got a $169 million federal loan guarantee, the loan money itself was spent in the U.S.
In Mexico, the new site notes solar firm SunPower is having some solar panels for its stimulus-backed solar facility manufactured at a plant in Mexico. According to FactCheck.org, though, that company will be getting most of its solar panels from a California plant.
Asked about the new RNC effort, White House adviser David Plouffe told ABC News on Tuesday that Obama is focused on “insourcing” jobs and getting rid of tax cuts that reward companies that ship jobs overseas. He accused Romney of wanting to do the opposite.
